I did find this however, no coincidence the same motor + esc NIX adviced ;)
http://www.rc-raceworld.de/RC-Cars/m...-Set--941.html motor: Lehner 1940LK7 2290 Kv ESC: MGM Z - Series 160 Continuous Current: 160 Amps Peakstrom 5sec: 200 Amp PWM Frequency: 6 / 16 / 32 KHz Input Current: 7.4 volts - 22.2 volts = 2S - 6S LiPo battery BEC: 5-6 Volts Weight. 113 gr already installed in the car itself! These are good manufactures and this is a good combo? |
Yes it's a good combo, but take what NiX said into consideration .. then what you do think about the value / 'performance' of this product?
|
True, good combo and for europe a good price. But the roller is the E version, not the Factory team edition...
I see that you live in Belgium... You can PM me if you are interested in both a RC8T, mgm compro and medusa 36-70-1600. It's an almost new RC8T with steering mod. Motor & controller are new. I decided to concentrate on buggies (RC8) & a special high speed project so I am selling out quite some stuff as I can't drive all. We've a small group with RC8/T (bash type) drivers what makes it easy to exchange and help out on spare parts. A lot of RC8 stuff is also direct fit for the T version and other way around. So if you want to safe yourself (a lot of) money... PM:whistle: |

This is an English forum, please speak / write it so others can also follow ;)
My advise : put this on hold and get some experience first. |

(only the shippingcosts of course) + I am still haveing much onroad fun with my modded Rustler so I am not in a hurry to buy it, (nor do I have the money) But I would go for the offroad truggy somewhere in February :) |

And LE version options to the Factory Team edition version is for non pro's not an upgrade.. but a marketing action to make extra sales as sales went down and the results of Mayfield were an opportunity to gain attention and interest... The difference with the Electro roller version however has a few points that would need upgrade. And yes import = importtaxes. Calculate on 30% for administrationcosts and salestax what makes the price of import. Also consider the shippingcosts. Net prices US seem cheap but once you order and need to pay all extra costs you'll see that it is not that much cheaper as buying in europe at the right adresses. The 1940 lehner may be a little bit underpowered. Should be a 1960 or 2240 type. 1940 would does well on a buggy but a truggy is quite a bit heavier. |
i would go for a MMM or an EZrun 150A not the Tekin cose they have a weak elektronic contruction.
And if you are in europe and your MMM brakes down, send it to the USA not to the benelux distributor cose changes are that you will never see it back. |
lol, I have heard about that horros story ;)
I would buy it from RC Monster of course, they have one of the sharpest prices I've seen... |

So better order by the cheaper US i-net shops as RC-monster (and others) and with the receipt CC will help you out also and much quicker and clientfriendly service. The EZ run 150 is also good value for the money. In fact extremely good price/quality ratio. I do not know how the produktsupport is but for the price of it and noticing how they perform and their reliability I wouldn't care about the warranty. A friend has one after a MMMv3 got killed in action and it work absotely great & reliable (and now waiting for more than 3?? months for repairement thanks to the great service of the distributor:diablo:). And 3th for if you want a good service in Europe than MGM-compro is a good choice. Also great customer service and 2 years hasslefree warranty. Just read the warranty rules first and treat your ESC as one should.: http://mgm-compro.com/pdf/product-warranty.pdf |

I know that car!:sarcastic:
Did you tested it on a race track? Small detail, please put some extra shrink around the bullit connectors of the MMM! If one motorcable comes off now you have a problem:rules: |
Nopes, no tracks nearby and nobody to drive with
How do you mean? So that if one connector would come loose it would stay in the car because it's connected to the other cables? Sounds like a smart plan, thanks! Here my first little video: RC8Te first movie Also drove yesterday with three big scales and one nitro HPI Trophy 4.6. Unfortunately only some on-road driving, but we had fun! |
please read your PM!

And for the car... it needs some adaptations for getting to make it bullit proof for a track. Get out the extreme flex and the plastic shocks.... Brushless racer is I expect well known with that too. Might be that he knows the former owner:whistle:. |
The former owner was called 'Marco'.
NIX, I didn't receive the chassis braces yet, maybe your wife forgot to post them ? |
Better put no names of people not involved in 'open' discussions.
She normally not forgets. All to post was put in the 'outbox'. But I know that she was too busy monday and yesterday. I will give her a reminder - mail. There are quite some good tracks around: Monchen Gladbach (D, only of hearing), Mach-One, Ormco OSS and NBR Mol (B). Last one can be very tough on your equipment. Start driving at a track when you feel comfortable on driving as you do now and know your car well. Be carefull with your lipo's when you go offroad as te C-rating/mAh a cell is quite low in relation to the motor you use. Also be sure to use good connectors. |
That's why I only mentioned 'Marcel' and not his last name.
Thanks 4 the remainder. Really want to go to the tracks and I'm trying to convince some others to go with me. |

The castle distributor from belgium has 1 MMM for free. cose he would have 25 euro for the warranty shipping costs, castle mailed me about there serves and they say to me that they have send 6 units back to him for warranty repairs. if it al gonna be this difficult then keep the freaking MMM. Thanks MR. it was an pain in the ass to do busines with you. serpent benelux, castle benelux; don't go there cose you get ripped of
This whole warranty thing is going on sinds juli 2009. |
wth?
Castle says the Belgium distribiteur has 6 units, and the distributeur himself says he has only 1? |
No, this is going on sinds juli yes,
i have mailed him allot like 10 times, he still has a different answer like. yes they are on there way, or i have send it in. the last time i have mailed him he said, "ohw yes i totally forgotten i was sow bussy with serpent etc. i have the mmm here, i will send you the mmm if you transfer 25 euro for the shipmentcosts". |
Quote:
and what is "serpent"? and most important, did you actually pay the 25 euro shipping so you could receive your mmm? |
he is from belgium serpent is a brand from rc cars. and i didn't pay him 25 Euro cose i now that i will never resieve anything from him, cose that's the personality that he is.
If he was going to bring castle customers a good service i would have received it back in september or so. |
fuck, that guy is a real shame for "salesman" in general, what a moron.
so, the question is what are you going to do now to get back YOUR mmm? (I suppose its the ESC + motor?) |
it's the esc only, what i ame going to do,
well not mutch cose i allready have a record :whip: Maybe i will see him some day :diablo: |
