So what did mike say?
|
Very do-able but might not be cheap - What would you pay?
|
Considering the G-maxx G3R chassis was $200+ or $300 if I remember correctly, about the same if so. Would prefer cheaper but I know the RC-M quality will be there as well as the custom factor.
|
Will i pay??: umm will it be machined or stamped cheap aluminum like the gmaxx chassis? I will most certainly pay!! Mike if you just so happen to even do a small limited run of your style g3r chassis consider me in! I would definitely preorder prepay!!!!!!
|
any update? i'd buy one for sure, like i'd buy alloy bulk designed to accept 1/8 scale diff, like i'd buy mike's V3 diff, like i'd buy a CD mount for the new hypothetic chassis to eliminate tranny..
and i'd pay 300 for the chassis, 150 for a pair of bulk, 100/120 for a pair of diff, 50/60 for the CD mount, of course everything cnc machined.. i would have the same option FLM offers for the maxx.. why rcmonster or flm or gorillamaxx or ue doesnt support the revo? i really like this platform, but i want it more tough, like an flm/rpm maxx, i'm tired of bashing/breaking/fixing/repeat! my revo.. i think thousand people are interested in this parts.. c'mon, we're addicted!! |
Finally, I've waited 4 weeks for my account to get activated.
I really really really want one, maybe two. As said: we're addicted, give it to us. Seriously, i'll get two of them. I'm conviced that if word gets out, a whole lot of people will want one too. Please keep us posted, my god, every day I come to this thread looking for news....... |
ps my UE monster took home the gold a couple of weeks ago!!

When I was building my G3R parts were more expensive than what you would like to pay now, so just a guess that they would cost even more than I paid. :gasp: I dont recall the chassis price but didnt they sell $350 for the cf one? The V3 diffs were like $200ish. The center diff mount was $90. http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=rcmcdmm A slipperential costs $125. Were you talking bulks like the VBS? Because a VBS style system for the revo would be complete badass! I thought that Fast Lane was working on a bulk a while ago. Anyone know? |
A bulk would be very complicated to machine but they will sell like hot cakes if it was ever done and were light enough

6- mistercrash... If I have confirmation that an E-Revo tranny can be used and that I still can have the full steering throw of the Slayden steering mods.

The site doesn't work anymore, so yeah I think they're out of business
|
Wow!
Guess hard times had hit them too. I wonder who is going to make a good replacement chassis for this. Does this mean my chassis are worth more or less now? |
I would say that a brand new Gorillamaxx G3R chassis that was built as a shelf queen would be interesting for a few RC collectors and it could bring some good money. But I don't know about any G3R chassis that were used and bashed hard with lots of scratches on them. Or any G3R chassis that has been tampered with meaning that has been modified and not completely original. But what do I know.
|
I still have an extra G3R that I want to get rid of too!
