Looks great,do you plan on having some front kick-up though?
|
Thanks guys!
Yes, I plan on making a front kick-up. I just have to bend the place off the front diff. Right? The schoolboy had the ability to a mill and lath, not a cnc laser. He cut the chassis and upperdeck. But there were a few mistakes in the parts. And it took about two month to make that parts. And now he has got vacation and can't do anything. So now I managed alu-cutter, from rcracingcars, to CNC laser my stuff. |
Here is the finished chassis! Complete assembled!
Weight rolling chassis without electronics/tires: 2,4kg Material: all the parts are made out off 7075 aluminium. The chassis is bended for extra strengh. (just like sneeck flamemaxx chassis) The chassis is very stiff. The truck can take some abuse! :D Chassis: 3mm Upperdeck: 3mm Shocktowers: 3mm Motormount/right center block: 8mm Battery straps: 3mm Let me know what you think! http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/4...ksvoor24dh.jpg http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/6875/boven0du.jpg http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/5...nksvoor4yx.jpg http://img246.imageshack.us/img246/3153/achter0se.jpg http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/9...achter24xb.jpg http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/6...tsboven4xe.jpg http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/1...htsvoor1js.jpg http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/1...tsvoor26eb.jpg http://img349.imageshack.us/img349/4645/stuur7sf.jpg |

Nice conversion you got there Jasper. Just curious, why 4 tower's?
Hope we can race on the next rc-rc bash somewhere in september. |
Thanks sneeck.
If I did a single tower design, the towers were not strong enough. There was to much play in it. So I designed a double motormount. It is very strong and it also looks good. I am really looking forward to race with you on the rallycup! |
I installed all the elektronics in the truggy. Everything is mounted as low as possible. The steering servo is layin down on the chassis. The receiver is on top of the steering servo. At the back the throttle servo servo is also layin down flat on the chassis. The esc is placed in a U form aluminium mount. The UBEC is mountend under the upperdeck.
The weight with foam tires, all elektronics mountend and 16 GP3300 cells, is 4,5kg. Let me know what you think !!! I need some feedback from the pro's guys! http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/4050/s0es.jpg http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/7322/s19tt.jpg http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/8436/s21pi.jpg http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/2531/s30zx.jpg http://img234.imageshack.us/img234/4817/s42xi.jpg http://img478.imageshack.us/img478/9149/s52di.jpg |
very cool jasper! those foam tires are discontinued right?:032:
|
man does that thing look nice
|
Very nice work Jasper! Looks cool with the the foams.
|
Thanks!
The foam tires are Pro-line Jato tires. They are indeed discontuened. I got them 2nd hand, but never used, from a guy in Holland. On a flat road they are the bomb! Lightweight and lots of grip. I am going to build in my venom speed meter. I am very curious what this truck is going to do with 20 GP3300 cells and a 12XL. |
J-truggy with the wing mounted :017:
