Mike.L, thanks for the compliments man.:027:

Rtsbasic, I love MIP CVD's. I've ran them in everything I own except the Pede and Rustler. They messed up when they made them for these models. They are weak and too long. They limit suspension travel by at least 1/4in. Thats why nobody likes them in a Pede or Rusty.

I run the dogbone setup in my Rustler. It works well, and I've only bent one dogbone. But, the axles can be tricky sometimes. The dogbone part of the axles is weak, and I've broken one of those. The cups that attach to the differential have held up well, with the exception that one of mine has a groove in it from the dogbone. It still functions properly, though.
These problems here have been over the course of about a year, so you can see that the dogbone setup can hold the power of a BL/Lipo setup that can push out over 1000watts!

I've had excellent luck with the MIP's I have on my Rustler.

They are a lot stronger than my transmission is.

I blow trannys out regularly, but have never had a problem with the CV's, -other than the pins coming out.

By the way, f-150 dan, -glad to see you went with what you did. I was the guy over at the other forum that steered you in the Lehner direction.

Very nice truck by the way.

Gear that sucker up and see what she does. The worst thing that will happen is it will go thermal, -then you back off a tooth or two and call it a day.

I have the swami bar for my pede and the swami skid plate for my rusty. You can find them here.

I finally got a chance to do some gps speed testing with my pede. My vehicle setup was:

Feigao 540 12s
Mtroniks Truck controller
12 IB 3800 cells
87/18 gearing
Masher 2000 tires

My top speed was 47.1 mph. I may have been able to get a few more mph if I had more room. I may stop by my LHS and pick up a bigger pinion just to see how much more speed I can get. A 22t pinion should get me to 60 mph, if the motor can pull that gearing.
