Sorry to dig up an old thread, but is there any kind of rumour backing up this idea of a TRF buggy?
As for the Dark Impact - i'm really tempted - but i just hope Tamiya bring out some graphite swag etc for it... I was going to buy one and put the 5300/2S Lipo in it, but if there is a chance of a TRF offerring then i might wait for that instead The design of it looks a bit funny though - i'm not a big fan of the enourmously long steering linkage on the DF03, but hmm - should be an interesting summer with brushless really starting to take off |
There's a UK company making carbon stuff for the DF03 already, they've been racing it,towers and some suspension tweeks so far but there talking of a chassis too.Saw it on ebay, search ' tamiya dark impact' on ebay.co.uk.It basically needs cvds some better shocks and for tamiya to release the slipper, then i could see it being competative for very little money.
You'd be waiting a year atleast for a TRF version i would have thought, maybe forever,i'd just get one, very cheap from japan on ebay, and make a few changes as they become available. Here's a link to those towers;http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamiya-Dark-Im...QQcmdZViewItem |
My reply is verry late, but Tamiya has surely brought out its secret weapon.
Search for it using any popular search engine or just look around here by typing TRF501X. |
Yeah, cap, that's a true race-horse.. Stunning..
|
I think I should prepare a parts list for this buggy anytime now.
|
If it comes like this, you don't need many hopups. partlist would look something like this;
mambamaxx 5700 2s/3s lipo receiver TRF501X |
Not as I've planned, Serum.
It should've been like that: TRF501X buggy LMT 1920/8 3s lipos Digital servo Titanium screw kit Ceramic bearing kit Ceramic diff balls Mamba Max controller some pinions All of these would cost me something near $1300. I'm only waiting for them to release it. |
That's a nice setup you have in mind.
Do you race with your cars? |
No, but I do contimplate their beauty befor I go to sleep.:D
|
nourish them boy... :)
|
lOl!!
I should try out my SuperFLMaxx befor I go to another project. These buggies are really getting my attention. |
buggies rock, no way around it. once you drove a buggy on a loose surface, your addicted.
