Mike D has a chance. I have driven his buggy and was the only car capable of clearing the entire first set at our local track- nitro guys just dont have the acceleration needed.

nitrostarter 05.29.2009 12:19 PM

It was quite fun! I'm ready for the BASH tho!

nitrostarter 05.29.2009 12:45 PM

Nice job! Now spread the news.

Are there limited entries? Hope not...

brushlessboy16 05.29.2009 03:06 PM

Think there should be a slash class.

when you say brushless Open- you mean anything goes right?

nitrostarter 05.29.2009 03:07 PM

I mean, you can try to run a BL boat in the open class if you want...

brushlessboy16 05.29.2009 03:32 PM

or a 1/2 scale Rc- powerwheels barbie jeep.

nitrostarter 05.29.2009 03:32 PM

I would love to see that flying around the track...

Nice job there! That looks even better. Now a 2-day event would be even better than that... LOL

I especially like the raffle, I never win but I sure try. Is the money going to 501c(3) charities? I'd like a tax deduction reciept... Kidding of course.

Are we going to be teaching those Nitro guys how to convert their smell, sticky mess to clean running R/c's in the Brushless conversion Clinic? I'm guessing the author, Mr. Arct1k, is heading up this category.

Man this event keeps getting better and better. I'm sure glad me and Linc decided on taking the trip. Now if we can only get discounted entry fees for driving 22hrs in...

Electric Dave 05.29.2009 04:33 PM

Not that I want them but will there be nitro classes?

brushlessboy16 05.29.2009 04:37 PM

The flyer says no. :)

Where? I see the "Additional Classes TBD" which means to me Nitro...

:(

brushlessboy16 05.29.2009 04:46 PM

just a thought since it is the Brushless Bash.

Arct1k 05.29.2009 04:50 PM

It depends on projected turn out - a day with 7 of us racing does no good.

I could see there being a local Nitro Buggy and Truggy class - You have to note that the enterance fees help mike cover the cost of the day...

Finnster 05.29.2009 10:36 PM

There is usually a strong local crowd w/ the nitros. Watch out tho as there are some really good drivers. They are cool w/ the BL, so its all good. Besides, we need those b!tches to marshall anyway (not that they ever do a good job at it....)

Be sure to bring spare parts, gloves (for marshalling, trust me) and plenty of water. It'll be hot.

Brushless open has traditionally been a "whatever as long as its BL." Race your barbie jeep if you want to. If you can clear a triple w/ it I vote automatic win.

eovnu87435ds 05.29.2009 10:53 PM

Yes!!

lincpimp 05.29.2009 11:01 PM

So I guess a SC10 with a 13.5 on 2s would be persona non gratis in the stock slash class, huh?

Hey Cory, I am thinking we need to fly to this... I will call up Shatner and see if he can get us some deals!

Maybe someone can pick us up from the airport? Or I could rent a car!

Well guys, unfortunately, I have an @$$ for a professor this summer class I'm taking. As of now the Final exam is scheduled for July 28, which would be the day after getting home from driving 22 hours home from the Bash. So I will have to regretfully miss the bash this year. Theres no way I could pass the class and the teacher isn't going to let me take the test earlier or later... I was looking forward to this more than my vacation to the beach after school...

Sorry Linc.

lincpimp 06.05.2009 12:56 AM

No prob dude, school comes before playtime! I may still fly up, need to get with Chris about that and see if he had a chance to do anything with a hotel? I will just play it by ear!

Ill bring you a tent linc :)

Arct1k 06.05.2009 06:25 AM

Linc - No one else responded on hotels - I'll drop you a PM but suggest just booking somewhere - LMK where and I'll book there for sat night to...

Arct1k 06.12.2009 09:59 AM

Thank you Castle Creations for donating a MMM 2200 combo AND and MMM 2650 combo!

E-Revonut 06.12.2009 10:29 AM

Are these going to be raffles or just go to winners? Time to get Tekin on board, along with some other manufacturers

nitrostarter 06.12.2009 11:03 AM

Damn, I'm thinking about saying screw school....

Arct1k 06.12.2009 11:09 AM

Tekin mike is dealing with and we hope for a combo, looking at an e-castor buggy, a lipo manufacturer, Medusa and a few others.

This is not for the winners (they get trophies) - This is for a charity raffle so everyone has a chance...

E-Revonut 06.12.2009 11:37 AM

Be nice to get associated to donate something since they have a buggy, truggy, and short course 1/8 e-vehicles. More the better though.

Is the flier right? Food vendor this year? I'd hate to see lutach miss put again because he was making a food run for everyone!

Arct1k 06.12.2009 12:14 PM

Should be if not we'll send a runner...

Or blinding everyone with the halogens on it and say me cleared it

auto2 06.19.2009 07:20 AM

just so you all know there is now an indoor oval track. one real smooth with 2 degree banking for sliders and one for slash. soooooo if it rains and u have a slash/slidr/ 1/18 something/b4 etc there is still potential for fun.

...It should be nice having someone sell food for the hungry ones at the bash. Last year I thought the bash was going to be postponed and after Arct1k showed me his buggy with what it seemed to be an extra pound of mud, I got a little discouraged and that led me to get some food for us. This year the Sun will be good for us to have more fun.

Wow...I don't know if I'll have time to get my Custom Works Dominator ready. I'll bring some extra cars for sure if I get a chance to put some laps o the oval track. It'll bring back a few memories from back in the early 90's.

I'm planning on bringing everything, just to be on the safe side. RC-M RC8T, e-revo, CRT.5, RC18t, and I'll prolly have a 1/16 revo by then as well. Def hoping for some sun. Rain has been a curse this season, we've only had one nice race day so far other than the pro series race, but even then they had to adjust the schedule because rain was a threat.

Electric Dave 07.02.2009 08:28 PM

As much as it pains me to ask this question, will there DEFINITELY be Nitro classes?

I'm trying to get a few guys from my local track to go and one of them printed the flyer posted by Arct1k. Since it only lists electric classes, many of the guys are not willing to come.

I wonder if RC Monster Mike (or one of his minions) can possibly comment on the nitro classes?

Arct1k 07.02.2009 08:55 PM

I believe there will be nitro classes not all the locals are brushless... get them along...

tmaxxdaddy 07.02.2009 11:37 PM

My Guess, DEFINATELY won't know until that day. After reading the flyer from the barn " Nitro vehicles are also permitted on this race day" And racing with some of the local's in CT last year, There will be gas as well.
Although the smell / noise of nitro bothers some "electric only's", I doubt the hum of the electrics will bother the "nitro only's".
Plus....Some of them "nitro's" are still trying to prove "gas is faster":surprised:

jhautz 07.03.2009 01:04 AM

In years past the buggy, truggy and MT classes all had the nitro and electric running together. The only class that I was aware of was the "Brushless Open" class which was basically any brushless vehicle you wanted to run.

There is alot of local nitro racers that will be there so I am positive that nobody will be excluded. At this point in time most of us are racing our electrics in the "nitro" classes at our local tracks. The nitro racers are tolerating it and allowing us to race with them so it would be pretty darn impolite of us to not accommodate them. I would personally object if they told anyone they couldn't race because their power plant didn't conform.

The best part of the RCM event in my opinion is nobody gets left out. If its an off-road vehicle there is pretty much a class you can race it in.

Tell your buddy to come. He will be able to race.
