I think i might go with that. Or ill make my own. What else breaks.is that it?
On a T3, front top plate and front arms are the weakest points. Everything else is pretty solid. The rear shock tower can break quite easily in a harsh cartwheel, but you can easily make one out of lexan or alloy sheet, I made lexan towers for my B3 which is essentially the same.

sorry, kinda off topic but........
you all say for bashing stick with rusty, and sounds like a few race t3 or t4..... how would the rusty be for racing? i bash, but want to start racing eventually, when i can find a track that is.... |
I read that Rustlers are not good racers at all.
Am I alowed to post a wanted thread? |
I read that rustlers are not the greatest, but can do.
You are allowed to post a wanted thread, only as long as most of the conversation is in PM, Mods please correct me if im wrong |
I've also read its hard to make one track-worthy, TBH its probably not worth trying.
I was on Radiocontrolzone.com, and I found like 5 T3, and 1 T2 for only $50. and the guy lives less than 45 mins from my house. He might have already sold it though.

I think im going to get htis one.

Im not really buying it for the batterys, or anything, but i can use them with the motors, wile im wailting for my other stuff to come in. The three main thing that are worth anything, are probably the bodies, radio, and the truck.

Im getting the MGM 80, 12 GP3700 cells, and a feigao 12s. My parents are buying me the MGM 80 for my birthday on May 28.
coo can't wait to see it...as far as rustlers being poor races you can do some mods that'll make them better suited for racing..and also you have to take into account the driver...if you're a good driver with even a descent setup you'll be able to keep up with t4's piloted by people who can't drive....i have seeen rustlers do well in stock class but not mod....they just don't handle that great compared to losi/associated
ok, so basically Traxxas cars are just all about bashing then...... ok, good to know for future builds, thanks
People have had success racing rustlers after some modifications.
its not all traxxas'. the revos are without a doubt the best mt racetruck there is. the t-maxx or e, with some modifications are also very raceworthy.
yes a very well setup/piloted t-maxx can do some damage but revo handle very nice outta box...and yes rustlers can also do some damage but they take enough mods and will cost as much as getting a t4 id say but if you like being the underdog the rustler is a good place to start

Could i run 4s lipo on a MGM 80? Im confused about the lipo, what do i need to do so the batterys dont blow up?
charge them with lipo charger and don't draw the batteries down to low. The mgm 80 has a built in lvc for 4s lipo.
I'm still a bit confused why you'd want an MGM ESC. There are better ones out these days from Mtroniks and Quark. The Mtroniks Pro would be a better all around unit, and they're customer support takes days to fix/replace any damaged units (for free) compared to months for the MGM. Plus its rated to 4s lipo (with cutoff).
Not to mention the Mtronics are very affordable. I would personally go for that over the MGM. I personally like the MGM's because of all the settings that can be programmed in.
And, the Mtroniks are waterproof (biggest thing for me). The LVC on the Mtroniks doesn't seem to work, so unless you use an external one you could damage the Lipos. But, the MGM has an issue with the braking, so take your pick.
dont you have the truck one metal?
Yep.
hopefully its just certain ones that have that problem cause i plan on getting the pro and running 3s on it :002:
Im probably going to end up with two T2's:027: I gto the one on ebay, and a guy from another website e-mailed me saying he would sell it to me shiped fro $50. It soulded like a guud deal, and it had some upgrades, so i sayed yes. I havnt sent money for either yet, but I will by the end of this week.
Is it worth it to buy RPM parts for the T2, or are the factory parts already really strong.
Is the BK 12s motor as good as the feigao 12s? And are theses batterys good Assembled Matched Race Pack 7.2V i3600
New Intellect 3600mah matched stick packs. Lower IR than the GP cells and an attractive price. These matched, assembled packs have 1.17 or better voltage at 30 amp discharge. Excellent value in a stick pack for nice power and runtime. I was going to order the Feigao and batterys form a other web site, but i would rather buy eerything form one site instead of each thing from a different place. |
