Lol, yeah, ofcourse Sicco.
We did a nice job.. And you did a great job on the flames as well. |
You guys are really amazing! Kudos to both of you!
|
Thanks Sylvester..
We exchanged quite some smiles when we where designing it.. |
More since it's a real chassis now, allot better than a 3d preview in solidwork's.
|
Ok time for a little update. Thank's to Leroy's idea I got the steering sorted now. It's a little brace that goes on the ue servo saver. Thank's allot Leroy!
http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RADpA...w/MVC-625F.JPG This allow's me to put the servo flat on the lower chassis plate, under the output of the center diff. http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0RADpA...U/MVC-626F.JPG http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0SABuG...g/MVC-627F.JPG It work's like a charm. The finnish is a bit rough now, since I was just prototyping this idea. It need's cleaning up, such as loose the ugly blue draglink and get some carbon tube to cover the m4 thread. Also let's not forget to drill and tap the hole's in the servo mount. You have to do with this for the upcoming week's, i'm going to italy next in 9 day's and not really working on the chassis. Let me know what you think. Suggestion's/ idea's are welcome! |
very awesome dude! can't wait to see the finished product!
|
No problem on the help. I like the looks of it. I like to see the finish product.
|
any updates?
|
sneeck is away on vacation so the truck is on hold. I think he is supposed to be back in a couple days.
|
the design on the little brace changed a bit, looks freaking cool now.. I hope he has got it in solid when he gets back..
|
Hello guy's. Good to be back.
I will get back working on this machine. My first intend tho was to put a hold on the project since I need to save a few €'s to get me another mountainbike.(Yeti ASX) But come to think of it, getting this baby up and running won't take long or pricey. Only thing I need to order are some small bit's and piece's like driveshaft's. The red carbon top plate will however have to wait till next summer. So keep an eye out for any - how small they may be - update's. |
Get back to work on the project dude... that's so fresh and so clean... I'll give you my Norco VPS... get back to the project.. j/k
|
Where the finished pics?
|
He sold his motor/controller.
He is into biking now. He will finnish it, but his bike has got no1 priority now. |
I kind of know the feeling on the biking priority. I would like to see it finished.
I heard some one got the motor and esc. ;) |
LOL!
Yeah, i know who has it.. theotherbikingdutchy |
It will be finnished, someday. In the mean time, this is my new toy;
http://photo.pinkbike.com/photo/1073/pbpic1073315.jpg It's a Specialized 2006 S-work's Enduro. Built it myself and it ride's incredibly smooth:004: Jump's even better. |
No Hopes on it yet Sicco?
|
Yes only no current picture's. Replaced the Hayes nine hydrolic disc brake's with some good 'ol Hope Mono m4's.
There will be some up-to-date picture's when I get some sram x.9 stuff to replace the fugly shimano xt rear derri. Hopefully some action pic's too. |
HEY!! TRAAAAAAITOR...you've sold the brushless setup for the sake of this dude?!!!!!
Oh well, suit yourself, Sicco.:) |

Enjoy it mate! Wish i could go riding too. |
A GT Bestwick Team is more my speed :D.
|
I don't get it, there's no motor on any of those. How is it supposed to "go"? :032:
:005: |
Specialized for life! Nice bike. I've put rc on the backburner for the sake of biking before. It's a worthy hobby.

I've tried to do something similar, but couldn't bring myself to decrease my spending on RC... Right now I'm riding a $450 (normal-priced) Mongoose full suspension bike that I got on clearance for $150. It's help up rather well to the offroading I've put it through, except that now both of the wheels are bent (front one from bad landing on a jump, rear one from not jumping up a curb properly).
