Thats looks beautiful and i'd like to see some pics from under and all around. That would be nice:)

Bomb-Proof 01.17.2007 08:39 PM

We will do however many people want, doesnt matter to me. I will get more pics up soon, and some videos. I will race it later this month so I will post of the video. Running a Mamba maxx ESC. I will beat it to death at the next race and see what happens...so far so good. If I get some track time before then, I will get some video for sure.

Mike.L 01.17.2007 08:52 PM

Is that bomb proof chassis for sale on your website?

crazyjr 01.17.2007 08:54 PM

Sounds like what i do to mine everyday.

Bomb-Proof 01.17.2007 08:56 PM

The upper plate will most likely be carbon fiber on the next one, thats why it really isnt lightend up at all. That was just to test the general design.

Procharged5.0 01.17.2007 09:28 PM

Interesting.

Are you planning on releasing any quantities of the new design one you complete the R&D phase?

Bomb-Proof 01.17.2007 11:06 PM

yes. :028:

squeeforever 01.18.2007 12:49 AM

Hit me up when you can get one of those available. I am very interested. :D I could possible do some R&D. :D Probably 6S, 10XL, 9920...

jhautz 01.18.2007 03:38 AM

Looks like a nice design. Like it. :027: Its very different from the other stuff out there. A few questions...

What is the size of that battery tray. What size lipo will fit?

How do you hold the battery in place. Some sort of strap or something?.

Is there anything to protect the motor? It really looks exposed hanging down ther on the bottom of the chassis.

The motor mount plate and and the diff mount plates look like they could bea easily damaged if you land on the top of a jump if you muissed a double or something. They just stick down and arent supported. For that matter the motor would probably take a good hit in that scenario also.

I think if you could come up with some sort of skid that ran down the middle on the underside it would all look alot more protected down there.

I'm sure Im not pointing out anything new to you, but I am wondering what you think.

EDIT: I actually like the top plate aluminum vs CF. It looks like a nice flat place to mount the Quark on and act as a GIANT heatsink. Do you think they would be available in both Alluminum and CF?

Bomb-Proof 01.18.2007 02:50 PM

The battery holder holds the 4s and 5s (all we tested) 5000mah cells. It bolts in ( in two places on the one in picture, but now its 4 places). The motor mount is pretty solid, you would never hit it if you cased a jump, if you did somehow, it wouldnt hurt it. The motor has a skid under it (not shown). We can do them carbon fiber or aluminum, or sell just the transmission, just the front and rear section (so you can build your own chassis without having to make the correct bends or anything).

Bomb-Proof 01.18.2007 08:26 PM

Sylvester 01.18.2007 08:29 PM

Any estimate though? Less than G2R chassis?

squeeforever 01.18.2007 08:37 PM

I would be interested in a CF version...

Well everytime i see a post that involves say a motor mount, or battery trays etc you always want it made out of CF!

Not a bad thing at all though! :)

Got any more pictures of the underside?

Bomb-Proof 01.18.2007 10:11 PM

nah, those werent my pics. The skid isnt done on the bottom anyway.

jhautz 01.18.2007 10:13 PM

How long of a motor will fit? Looks like the Plet is a tight fit. Im not sure how long the plet is.

It really looks like it needs a skid IMO

Bomb-Proof 01.18.2007 10:16 PM

if the pletty fits, anything fits. There is a ton of room left even with the pletty, its an optical illusion..the pic makes it look that way.

squeeforever 01.18.2007 10:17 PM

Do yall have an ETA yet?

jhautz 01.18.2007 10:20 PM

So.... When do you set a price and start taking orders? Looks like you might have a few interested folks. (including me:018: )

Whats the wheelbase on it? (compared to a 2.5 and a 3.3)

Mike.L 01.18.2007 10:39 PM

It got me thinking of getting a revo i like the chassis.

Bomb-Proof 01.18.2007 10:48 PM

no eta to guess at yet. Wheelbase is 3.3 length. With 5s and bigmax, it wheelies but wont flip over backwards without working at it pretty hard...
300K in the center diff.
