coolhandcountry 01.08.2007 07:28 PM

A place down in GA had them on line for sale.
I can't recall the website though.

Sylvester 01.08.2007 07:30 PM

Does flightpower ship to Canada?

Promod 01.08.2007 07:54 PM

Found a few places in USA that sells them but know one seems to have the 4900mAH 4s1p Evolution 20c - 30c in stock.
Coolhandcountry, I think the place your talking about is Atlantahobby.

Thank you,
Promod

cemetery gates 01.08.2007 07:58 PM

I think this is the flight power distributor...

Bye:018:

GorillaMaxx360 01.08.2007 08:17 PM

i can believe the 50.5 mpf because he is running good lipos 4s, a lehner, and it is direct bolt to center diff no other shafts, and it is fairly light.

Sylvester 01.08.2007 08:41 PM

Yea, and it is a really high turn for only 4s.

coolhandcountry 01.08.2007 09:00 PM

Yes that was the place promod.

captain harlock 01.09.2007 07:10 AM

The flightpower UK website is the best place to get your things from. Their services are second to none and they ship anywhere in the world with cheaper prices than the ones found in other websites. Jon Badley did serve me well and the only guy to surpass him is Mike only.

captain harlock 01.09.2007 07:39 AM

You may want to check out the review about the trakpower pack in the duralite website.

coolhandcountry 01.09.2007 09:27 AM

I wonder if mike could get them or start carring them.

captain harlock 01.09.2007 09:33 AM

Well he should. These batteries will lead the market in the same way GP and IB did with sub-c cells. They're not too pricy like some other brands, even.

Promod 02.03.2007 06:53 PM

No updates yet. Still waiting on a faster turning 22 series motor to try.

Thank you,
Promod

glassdoctor 02.03.2007 06:58 PM

Do we have a 50mph 4s club going yet?

I'm in if we do... and I think I can make the 60mph club too. :)

Serum 02.04.2007 07:51 AM

Working on a BL serpent 60mph shouldn't be too hard to reach.. these things are a work of art IMO..

JOHNNYMAXXIMA 02.05.2007 04:16 AM

I'm not a member of the 4s club, but I do believe I am a member of the 60+mph club on my dual BL Maxx. One of these days I will take the radar to it. Took it out the other day and was driving it on some grass and it is deffinately faster than when I had the dual 9L's that went 52+mph.

Sylvester 02.05.2007 09:32 AM

Are you still using the stock slipper setup Johnny? ;)

coolhandcountry 02.05.2007 09:44 AM

If I can just get in the 30 mph club I be doing something. :)

captain harlock 02.05.2007 09:49 AM

I'll get to the 100mph club in the near future. Money is my only limit.

Promod, did you get the FlightPower packs?

Hayden 02.05.2007 10:18 AM

In my first prototype of a touring car I had a 4cell flightpower EVO 20 with a lmt 1930 and had a very hi-speed crash through a wire fence it broke the wire and pieced the battery missing the cells by like 1mm inside, man it was flying to brake that wire see photo
I have pounded the $%#! Out of it and it still works well even with a good dint in a couple of cells
My say is I highly recommend flight power for many reasons:027:

coolhandcountry 02.05.2007 10:42 AM

At least the cell did short and catch fire. That would have good ugly.
Them on roads can haul.

Promod 02.05.2007 01:23 PM

No I never got the flightpower batteries. Still waiting on the new motor to try first. Its so cold here now really can't do much until the weather warms up.

Thank you,
Promod

Serum 02.05.2007 01:29 PM

You could as well get some Enerland 4350/4900/5000mAh cells, they are the same cells as used in the flightpowers. Hyperion uses them too.

the flighpower 4900's (trakpower.com) stay at 3.5V per cell on a 100A load. on 4S, i think nothing beats them. I've seen eagletree graphs of the 4350's of a user here. they are close to 3.5V@100A too. after about 35 percent discharge they drop to 3.3V on a 100A load.

Those are the packs that deliver the energy for the hottest setups IMO.

Promod 02.05.2007 02:47 PM

I hope to try some of those better lipolys in the future. The maxamps work great but it seems there are some better lipolys out there.

Thank you,
Promod

glassdoctor 02.05.2007 02:50 PM

Right now it seems clear that the best cells are those Enerlands and the 3200/4800 Kokams that are used in the Orion packs. The Kokams are the worlds fastest lipos, lol... in the 160mph speed run car. :)

I've seen many times guys just blown away at the performance of both of these. Plus the Kokams are safer and tougher than most lipo cells.

I haven't got any yet, but plan to get some this summer.

Serum 02.05.2007 03:03 PM

Glass; Typo? the 160mph used flightpowers. Not kokams.

glassdoctor 02.05.2007 03:14 PM

I was told by the guys at KokamAmerica that he ran their cells... unless my mind glitching... which has happened before. :)

Maybe I crossed some wires there.

Serum 02.05.2007 03:21 PM

look what i had on my computer..

neweuser 02.05.2007 03:24 PM

Flightpowers......:)

glassdoctor 02.05.2007 04:31 PM

Cool :)

I must have confused a conversation I had with Kokam with some from the guys at Neu. I'm pretty sure that's it.

Man, I spent some hours on the horn last summer with CC, NEU, Kokam, RCM Mike, etc.....

jollyjumper 02.06.2007 04:48 AM

so these orions i got are really good i understand?
3.2k by the way.

Hayden 02.06.2007 06:36 AM

Nic said himself he used EVO 20 3300 8s1p Lipo in his 160mph run end of story.lol:005: :018:

jollyjumper 02.11.2007 05:45 PM

are you still waiting on the BL motor?
thanks, mike.:028:

Promod 02.12.2007 08:21 AM

I'm still waiting on the motor. The weather is so bad here couldn't do speed runs anyway.

Thank you,
Promod

jollyjumper 02.12.2007 08:37 AM

do you have the thundertech steering on it?
thanks.

Promod 02.12.2007 01:58 PM

Yes, I use the thundertech steering kit on all my Twin forces. The thundertech system works great. Only had one problem with the thundertech steering kit. If the truck is in a bad wreck sometimes it will damage the servo saver.

Thank you,
Promod

jollyjumper 02.12.2007 05:17 PM

thanks fo the info on them.

Serum 03.19.2007 05:41 PM

Say.. Barry.. That movie on rcpics; 2240 4S, that's not your speedmonster, is it? :p

Runs like a charm...

Promod 03.20.2007 12:28 PM

Yes, that is my truck:027: .

Thank you,
Promod

Serum 03.20.2007 12:38 PM

One silent truck for sure!

runs like a champ.. don't think you really need more than 50mph on a monstertruck..

Any change you tried the flighpowers?

Promod 03.20.2007 12:45 PM

Have not tried the flightpowers yet. But hope to very soon. Will post what I find out.

Thank you,
Promod
