any updates on the slipperential availability date? also anyone know when the diff conversions will be back in stock.

captain harlock 04.13.2007 03:50 AM

If the GorillaMaxx new products are out in the market, then, the slippperential will be out.

CCristo 05.16.2007 11:33 AM

Any update on the release date?

captain harlock 05.16.2007 03:28 PM

You should email Mike...

celticclown 05.22.2007 10:56 PM

Has the V2 been put on hold or something? I sent Mike an email asking about it a week and a half ago, but have yet to recieve a reply. I'm tryig to decide if I'm waiting for the V2 or going to buy the highly overpriced gorilla single speed setup. I want the v2 since I am racing my truck 95% of the time but it's come to a point where a huge void was left due to the stupid G3 update where nobody could get parts for a good couple months and the v2 was waiting on that. Now I don't know what's waiting for what. I want my truck to run:035:

captain harlock 05.23.2007 06:43 AM

It does look good indeed!

suicideneil 05.23.2007 11:49 AM

Thats very nice, very very nice. Q though, where did you get that little blue antenna mount from? And those poor, wrinkley hands... use some moisturiser man!

Good grief.. Neil, i didn't expected your Nivea hand-care tip.. Didn't saw it coming.. :p For the sake of this thread; the blue antenna mounts are K-factory, they are available in 1/10th and 1/8th in several colours, and they come with 2 antenna straws.

Yeah; NewE; that's a FLM savage cup; it needs spacers to make it work though (like 2 gaskets) and yes, these are UE outdrives.

Looks nice Serum. I was gonna go with the savage cup myself on the V1, so I realize it needs the spacers (make a perfect diff :P), let me know how it pans out. I didn't realize however the cups would work with the Hot Bodies diff, did you have to do any mods to it?

Serum 05.23.2007 12:57 PM

Nope, it's a 1:1 fit for the savage FLM cup.

Oops, I meant the drive cups...not the FLM cup...my bad Serum.

Serum 05.23.2007 01:07 PM

Yeah, the drivecups are a 1:1 fit for the FLM cup. No experience with these UE drivecups in the HB C8019 diffcups.

my guess is that they work, and otherwise you could shave off a bit from the bearing support.

Thanks Serum, good info to know. The V2 is definately sexy. it looks like it sits further toward the front, would this make the maxx handle a tad better? I also noticed you are not using the extended, is this because the V2 does sit so far upfront? Sorry to be a pest, was just curious...:032:

Serum 05.23.2007 01:14 PM

No, i use this pics as a reference for the install how-to; it comes with the driveshafts for the extended version. (gmaxx also includes the extension with the new e-maxx chassis)

The slipperential and motor are a bit more to the front, yes.

neweuser 05.23.2007 01:18 PM

That makes sense. Very nice job by the way, waay sexy Serum.

Serum 05.23.2007 01:32 PM

Yeah, big compliments to Mike!

captain harlock 05.23.2007 04:32 PM

Congrats! You've become an administerator.

Andersen 05.23.2007 04:33 PM

When will it be in the store :004: :004: :004:

Serum 05.23.2007 04:36 PM

It's on Mikes hot list, and knowing him, he will machine some pretty soon.. But he also needs to wait for driveshafts..

Don't we always!!!!!

mambamaxx 05.30.2007 10:13 PM

v2 slip cntr diff for revo gorillamax?

Is the v2 slipperential a center diff for the g3r?
sorry im new...so i need to hold off on buying the emax tranny?
:004: when is the mamba monster coming out ant one know?

jhautz 05.30.2007 10:49 PM

Yes the V2 slipperential is a center diff for the G2R or G3R revo chassis.

The mamba max will be out in a month.... no wait.... 3 months.... no wait.... 1 year.... no wait....

Don't hold your breath. They have been advertizing it for almost 2 years now and still no release date. If it ever shows up it might be cool. But someone else will probably have invented a plazma hyper drive that they use in star trek before the MMM is released and brushless will be obsolete.

Just get a Quark or run 4s on the Mamaba Max. You might get old and grey waiting for the Monster Max.

crazyjr 05.30.2007 11:03 PM

I'm figuring a light drive setup

captain harlock 05.31.2007 07:36 AM

It seems that you've lost faith in them, Jeff. I don't mind waiting till summer is over.

Team Tekin is also slowing down with the R1 controllers.

WHAT'S UP WITH THEM?!!!

suicideneil 05.31.2007 11:44 AM

They're deliberately all waiting to see who will release their HV system first, then they will either undercut eachother in price, or add on some last minute improvements to make their system the best.

ThievingScouser 05.31.2007 07:32 PM

I'm literally chewing the desk in anticipation of the slipperential coming out!!
Got 2 trucks almost completely built up except for the drive system. They simply have to have a slipperential in each! :043:

Please please please bring it out soon! :026:

ps Hi everyone, hope your desks aren't looking as gnawed on as mine. ;)

BrianG 05.31.2007 07:45 PM

LOL. Welcome to the forums! I'm sure the wait will be worth it. In the meantime, you might want to pick up some doggie chew-toys and save the desk! :)

crazyjr 05.31.2007 08:29 PM

I went ahead and got a couple quark 125's, might get a MMM or R1MT, when they come out. I to await the V2 slipperential, I also want a motorplate and mount only if i can get it, I got a MGT I want to convert with a slipperential

suicideneil 06.01.2007 11:39 AM

Im sure Mike will accomodate you crazyjr- Im sure he mentioned selling the mount part seperately for guys wanting to upgrade their V1 slipperential. If the price is right, I might get one too. That or an X-brace motor mount (soo soo sexy).

crazyjr 06.02.2007 12:17 PM

I got an idea for using my V1 slipperential with a V1 motor plate in an MGT using a special plate to mount in the truck. I got an Email from Mike about the slipperential and he has been tied up in conversions for people and hasn't been able to start running off parts for the slipperenital. Be patient while he does the conversions
