Hey, $7M isn't a whole lot. That would only buy a couple/few nice houses in Beverly Hills. All we need is some creative financing.
|
Heck, $7m is nothing (relatively speaking) for 117 sq miles. Chilie.... nice weather in that part of the world. We can all build log cabins and have BBQs every sunday. We could rent cabins out to tourits to generate income, build a nature trail so they dont get lost in the forest, and then all we need are a few tracks for the trucks, and a large flat tarmaced area for high speed runs, and a speed way for drag racing etc. And a runway for my private F-14...
|
What a visionary!
Now all you need is the $7M! |
You know what really pisses me off is when they first started talking about the imigration reform act the illegal mexicans had marches and rallys here in LA and everyone was carrying mexican flags.:mad:1
I have no problem with legal imigration that is how this country was founded but to come into the USA illigally just to use and abuse the system is wrong and if it is so easy to sneek across the boarder how long is it going to take before terrorist find the easy way in with weapons of mass distruction IE nukes or chemical weapons? In parting I would just like to say will the last american to leave Califonia please turn off the light's.:005: |
NEW PREAMBLE TO THE CONSTITUTION"We the sensible people of the United States , in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other liberal bed-wetters. We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights." |
Procharged for President! And I dont even live in the US!

Give Up yet? Neither, it's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of Idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year Designed to keep the rest of us in line. |
That's incredible isn't it?
And we elected these people?????? Doh! |
When they are elected, they never tell you the bad stuff they are gonna do! The lessen learned here is: DON'T TRUST ANY POLITICIAN!
|
My philosophy is that MOST politicians startout as lawyers then become politicians.
Few people trust or like lawyers. I think we line them all up and shoot them! Start over. If you are a bad politician, you will be held accountable...old west style! What do you think???? |
Got that right. Same over here really, at the moment many politicians are trying to block a law that would allow normal citizens to view information about them under the 'freedom of information act'. Basically, they dont want us to know how much money they waste on god-only-knows-what, and then right it down as expenses, which we the taxpayer have pay for. I was reading in the private eye the other day about government bodies that are employed to handout grants to hard pressed farmers, screwed it up baddly, then they wanted paying again to correct the mess they created in the first place. After a couple of pages of reading about that sort of thing, my blood was boiling to the point of..... boiling. Serious about that little island for ourselves- everyone start playing the lottery once a week!
|
Sounds good. I just think that lawyers nor politicians should be allowed on our new island. :)

It really cracks me up. Everyone bad mouths lawyers, until they or a loved one is in trouble and then they come to you looking for miracles.

However just like most stereotypes there are enough "rotten apples" to ruin the public perception of attorneys. My wife works with them regularly with her job. About 30% are complete idiots, about 60% have an "attitude" and think their $hit doesn't stink, and probably 20-25% are great people that you wouldn't mind being friends with. As I mentioned, I have two friends in that profession. (BTW, neither is a criminal lawyer....both deal with more mundane legal proceedings) Sorry to offend AAngle.......... |
Another HORROR story starting to unfold.

Well, as convoluted and messed up as our justice system is, it is still the best going. The biggest and strongest don't always win, and the underdog doesn't always get trampled. If you have a better way of doing it, I'm all ears.
Anyway, this is starting to get off topic, so I'll just let this dog lie. |
LOL, yeah, it's becoming a general ranting thread!
A little response about the justice system: Yes, the underlying concept is sound, it's the implementation that needs a lot of work. I just hear too many horror stories that are obviously unfair yet people get away with it because some lawyer find some loophole or a way to flout the intent of a law, while still managing to follow the letter of the law. |
Well, what do we have here? Looks like a small case of some people being able to dish it out, but not take it.
Let's start at the top. The story begins at Michigan State University with a mechanical engineering professor named Indrek Wichman. Wichman sent an e-mail to the Muslim Student's Association. The e-mail was in response to the students' protest of the Danish cartoons that portrayed the Prophet Muhammad as a terrorist. The group had complained the cartoons were "hate speech." Enter Professor Wichman. In his e-mail, he said the following: Dear Moslem Association: As a professor of Mechanical Engineering here at MSU I intend toprotest your protest. I am offended not by cartoons, but by moremundane things like beheadings of civilians, cowardly attacks onpublic buildings, suicide murders, murders of Catholic priests (the latest in Turkey), burnings of Christian churches, the continued persecution of Coptic Christians in Egypt, the imposition of Sharia law on non-Muslims, the rapes of Scandinavian girls and women (called "whores" in your culture), the murder of film directors in Holland, and the rioting and looting in Paris France. This is what offends me, a soft-spoken person and academic, and many, many of my colleagues. I counsel your dissatisfied, aggressive, brutal, and uncivilized slave-trading Moslems to be very aware of this as you proceed with your infantile "protests." If you do not like the values of the West - see the 1st Amendment - you are free to leave. I hope for God's sake that most of you choose that option. Please return to your ancestral homelands and build them up yourselves instead of troubling Americans. Cordially, I. S. Wichman Professor of Mechanical Engineering As you can imagine, the Muslim group at the university didn't like this too well. They're demanding that Wichman be reprimanded and mandatory diversity training for faculty and a seminar on hate and discrimination for freshman. Now the chapter of CAIR has jumped into the fray. CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, apparently doesn't believe that the good professor had the right to express his opinion. For its part, the university is standing its ground, saying the e-mail was private, and they don't intend to publicly condemn his remarks. That will probably change. Wichman says he never intended for his e-mail to be made public, and wouldn't have used the same strong language if he'd known it was going to get out. How's the left going to handle this one? If you're in favor of the freedom of speech, as in the case of Ward Churchill, will the same protections be demanded for Indrek Wichman? I doubt it. Send this to your friends, and ask them to do the same. Tell them to keep passing it around until the whole country gets it. We are in a war. This political correctness crap is getting old and killing us. |
Just great. I was having a good morning until I read that! :mad:1 :mad:1
I think he is abolutely right with the basic message: "If you don't like it here, get the (expletive) out!". All these cultures come here and get "offended" if anyone says anything about their culture, but it's not OK when the shoe is on the other foot! I believe in equal rights, not special rights. Arrg! Off for a calming cigarette! |
Sorry Brian. Didn't mean to get you upset this morning, but my dad sent it to me and I thought it was an interesting read. On top of that my brother-in-law is a Michigan State Alum.

"Nail on head, did that email hit" said master Yoda. Thats exactly the point; its finefor 'them' to come over 'here' and complain about our culture, and demand we adjust to suit them (or the government gives out special treatment without even bothering to check if they should), and we have to put up with it. The moment someone points out the flaws with 'their' society, or what there is of it (think of the women), we end up with protests calling for non-muslims to be executed etc, while the police stand idley by, unwilling or unable to intervene incase they infringe on their rights to call for our murders. I dont believe Islam or any other religion is evil, its just a case of a minority interpreting the teaching in a twisted way. Example-
In the middle ages the Christian crusaders went other to that part of the world and waged a holy war "in the name of christ", converting muslims etc to christianity, or murdering those who refused. Nower days, it seems some muslim radicals want everyone to sign up to islam, at gun point sometimes if they want to live, and the invaders* are the ones being slaughtered. *if only they realised we're not invading, we just want to help them rebuild & start over on a better path. It seems little had been learnt about religious conflicts since the time of christ. Bah.... |
