I may change the gearbox to include a clutch so that the motor can start up with no load. This will keep me from having to push off on start. So far, I have logged about 20 miles on the new frame. A 6 mile trip costs me a whopping $0.0138 in electricity assuming 10% charger inefficiency. Version three is in the works, I am converting my santa cruz bullet to a pedal/electric motorcycle. Version four is also in the works with a very high power system. Most likely a 90v 200a ESC and matching motor.

This thing is so much fun, I can't believe it took me so long to get it done. I will be selling gearboxes in the future most likely.

John thats looks AWSOME :gasp::smile:.

i have a minimoto that i have been debating on converting to BL with a castle 110HV and that 130kv hobbycity motor and run stock lead acid at 36v for now. The gear ratio is already all set up because it is a brushed electric now.

Video Please.

With what you posted prior and the info on your newest projects you could have something that could be taken into production for retail sales. Wth the price of gas and people looking for alternative sources to get to and from work your project bike would be a great (none gas) vehicle to have. How about some updated video so we can see what you have done?

Let's just skip a few steps.

How can we turn some BL ducted fans into a battery powered jet pack?:diablo:

kyosho501x 08.23.2008 07:49 PM

Update???

Hey there Holmes how about an update on what you are doing now. Any progress on your latest bike project? You started something pretty cool and I am just wandering if you have anything new to report for us.

Yeah, I have been riding this one http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...light=downhill

I am still waiting for a gearbox to restart this build in another form.

BL_RV0 11.22.2008 12:30 PM
