Thanks.

The largest spur a maxx-based chassis like gorillamaxx and FLM can take is 44T. The distance between the chassis braces/rails or opening of the FLM an gmaxx is about 46mm.

I have 46t.. Just use mr. Dremel...?

sweetride4me 04.21.2010 10:32 AM

I believe the original users for that CD mount were FLM Maxx owners... See the links below:

Belligerentruth's Default Album There is a thread on this truck somewhere here, but I can't find it right now.

RC Monster direct drive unit for FLM E-Maxx A quote from this thread: "Note that I had to dremel the chassis top plate so the diff spur would fit." Not sure what spur size he had in there.

As suggested above... maybe you could just go with a 44 tooth spur... If you stick with the 46 tooth, some work on the upper plate might be required.

suicideneil 06.15.2010 08:46 AM

Well, the G4 chassis has less room than the G2/ G3, since the stock tranny is narrower...

Since you wont need the tranny mounting points, theres no harm in cutting a slot either side ( seen a few guys do that actually ).

Custom drive shafts will be required really unless you get lucky- otherwise you can swap the output shafts/cups for the rc-monster shafts, then run the stock plastic drive shafts maybe.

Maxxrickard 06.15.2010 11:49 AM

sorry i dont understand... Will My old centershaft fit the CD?shouldnt they be longer?
