I'm going to confirm that the truck is balanced in at least a reasonalbe manor as per your request, seeing how you can't feel it with your hands to tell it is balanced.

I've got a postal scale that goes up to 2lbs.

Rivermaxx 08.28.2009 10:56 AM

I personally would rather more weight be toward the front because when you are on the throttle weight transfers toward the rear. If its balanced sitting still I guess thats all right if its sitting still. When weight transfers its normal for the truck tool squat in the rear.

I broke my inductor!

Rivermaxx 09.30.2009 02:42 PM

Whats that?

Can you see the crack in it guys? I've heard Patrick call it an inductor and it apparently its a magnite? But, what does it do?

florianz 09.30.2009 03:10 PM

where is a crack? do you mean the black thing? I think that's the bec.

Kcaz25 09.30.2009 06:25 PM

Its a bad picture I'll get another one 2moro.

zeropointbug 09.30.2009 08:39 PM

Yeah, that inductor is for the onboard BEC circuit; essentially what it does is filter the BEC PWM circuit to dampen any higher frequency 'noise', or EMI is what it is called. If it doesn't have one, you could get alot of interference fed into the Rx. I doesn't look like it is damaged to a point where is wouldn't work, in fact, I don't think I would even worry about it.:smile:

Yeah, looks like just a small chip on the plastic casing- assuming the esc still works, then just put a dab of plasti-dip or hotmelt glue over it to seal it up again. Got any padding under the esc?

mkrusedc 10.19.2009 10:03 PM

Did you fix it Zack?

Yeah I have padding under the ESC but the 4 shocks I'm using are just not enough! 4 more super shocks are on the wish list! I'm going to fix the fan and give it a careful go.

Kcaz25 11.09.2009 12:50 AM

Thanx, Neil yeah hot glue is what I used. ESC still works great, just gets hot without the fan. I'm thinking about cutting the top of the case off to expose the heat sinks alittle, whats the public opinion on that? Not gonna jump much until I can get 4 more super shocks for the sake of the poor ESC getting raddled again.

Lookie:

40 Series Mashers rapped around
Weld racing zero off set 23mm hub 40 series Cheyenne wheels

This is how I justified getting them incase you are wondering. I posted this in that other forum a few months ago.

Plus when I get my slipperential installed I'm going to want to gear up and the big tires will really help. Also I don't think it will look goofy because my wheelbase and stance are big. Big tires for a big truck! And maybe they won't slump to one side like the badlands do currently.

This is as good as humanly possible. Really wrinkly, ticking me off a bit, however after testing it I found it to be perfect. NO MORE Ballooning!

I love this image! Can you figure it out?

Tight heavy duty rubber bands to help in the glueing process.

See the crome hub cap on the wheel to the bottom right? Pretty neat, probably gonna run without for practicality sake.
Still the blue 23mm nut the the upper left corner looks pretty rockin.
