Century helicopter products used to sell a 9t 5mm bore pinion. Not hardened, so you could drill it out. Just an idea, and I am not having much luck finding it as tower does not carry it anymore, just the 12 and 14t pinions.

Yeah, I think 30mph or so should be plenty for for a giant truck but a little more wouldn't hurt ? I'd be really happy w/40mph.

FYI, your work bench looks more like a body shop ?

Actually on their site they showed a 6mm pinion but like you said I searched EVERYWHERE and couldn't find anything. I think I did at one time find something over seas but didn't want to pay $30 total with shipping. The one I got is hardened steel. It's SUPER long though. Either have to cut it down or flip the diff.

I own a body shop, and it is anything but clean... dusty, not dirty, but still not clean!

Wasn't a clean reference, even though your bench is very much so. It was regarding the frame, and body shell and jack stands. Looks like your "clipping" a truck. Linc know what I'm saying I'm sure.

wow you were that heavy? with the roll cage i am only at 13lbs with the medusa 80mm. just got the losi hardened chassis and it is much stiffer than stock, need to order a motor mount and a battery tray from mike as i just sold them with the Jammin CRT, cant wait to try the 1520 when i have the money. as the medusa gets a little heated after hard running

Yeah, it weighed a ton. Doesn't help when you have massive tires with foams that are soaked :lol: Also, my battery setups were very heavy (6s 5000 mAH was the lightest setup I ran and it weighed over a KG).

yea those foams can really suck it up, but dry u should be lighter than that, ir an 6s 5000mah as well. i think u need another muggy dude, you know thats where its at

I'm thinking of building a big Savage for myself and the 1717 is at the top of the list of motors I'd consider running in it. It moved my heavy Muggy around without trouble and it was overgeared (couldn't fit my smaller pinion on it). IMO the 1717 should handle it just fine.

Nothing new here. I got my 6mm mod 1 10t pinion in though and it looks good. It's REALLY long though. Might have to do some cutting.
