Shoot Mike a mail... i think he does custom shafts... I will measure the XL Savage shafts i'm using to see if that can also be an option for you...

Thanks. If i can find standard i Will use it, because its easier to change if I break them.

what gear cover and radio box did you use? i love the white!

ANGRY-ALIEN 10.12.2010 02:54 PM

He painted the stock gear cover and traxxas receiver box white....

Maxxrickard 10.12.2010 03:12 PM

How about this?http://shop.mobileweb.ebay.com/searc...Bone+&x=23&y=5

ANGRY-ALIEN 10.12.2010 03:26 PM

Well... it's 83mm... you said you needed 85mm... you can cut a piece of straw 83mm and place it in between the drive cups and see if it will do the job.

Maxxrickard 10.12.2010 03:34 PM

83,85 doesn't matter I haven't put the mount in place yet. I will try with a straw. But is it good quality?

Maxxrickard 10.12.2010 03:35 PM

83 is it between the bones or the total length?
83/8? Maybe 8 mm is to big for HB output cups?

ANGRY-ALIEN 10.12.2010 03:46 PM

I'm not sure if the measurement listed was the full length of the shaft or made between the pins... I think it's normally pin to pin.... when i get home,
I'll measure mine and get back to you.

Thanks. If it's 83 pin to pin it will be perfect.

Hmmm I ordered 12 and 13 t hardened pinions from mike with my CD mount and notice now that he send me two 13t.. That's bad... the shipping cost is more than the cost of new pinions. How do I know what pinion I should use? I can use brains 'thing' but how do I know what's right? Centerb13/46 and 10/46 front and rear give me a ~speed at 70 kph. Will the temp tell me
If it's right?

ANGRY-ALIEN 10.14.2010 03:10 PM

hey Maxxrickard, just shoot Mike a mail regarding the pinion issue... I am sure he will deal with it for you... I found the measurements for the HPI SAVAGE XL DOGBONES: front 63mmX8mm and the rear 142mmX8mm...
When you made your measurements, did you do it with the motor mount and CD installed?

The build looks like it's coming on well, keep the pics coming...

Yes i will mail him.
I measure from the front cup to the diff in the mount. I haven't put in place yet.
When you measure is it between the pins or the total length? I have order some savage bones, the are 83 mm.
