Sweet truck build!
I am glad to see people haven't given up on the High Voltage set ups while I was away.
I like your build.
I hope you keep up the great work.

Hello guys, thanks for not losing interest in my small build...

I have had an incredible hectic period with my job, but also building a web-shop for my private business (no, it's not related to RC).

2 weeks ago I had a jackpot, I received the new 45/90c Hyperion Lipos (14s), the repaired Lehner motor and to my big surprise a free of charge exchange JetiSpin 200 ESC! It was out of warrant and I abused it, which I told them before I sent it to them:party:

So my urge to burn some rubber was replace with the urge to go 14s again:diablo:

The stuff:

I had to strip the truck once again to fit the Lehner. Whilst doing so I also changed the diffs to the new bullet proof, and then i discovered why one of the diffs blew up last time:

It just fell into pieces when I started to work on the diff..

While in the garage I could not help myself, I started to make a net in aluminium for protection of the air exhaust holes. I think you get the idea:

And then I just pull an old sock over the alu-grid (if that's the correct word?).
You also see the temp sensors for the Logger and for the radio on the last image.

Nice. Where'd you get 8mm size pinions? And what Typhoon motor is that?

mckrill 11.14.2010 06:19 PM

700-98 780kv is the typhoon shown at page 22.

The pinion brand is crown gear, I bought these at

PS. The images on the web-page does not match..

Here's an image of the 12t-14t 8mm bore.

9 kw. That's some sweet numbers. Was that Lehner a HiAmp version?

The 3080 is rated @ 11 kw, so how in the world did a 2280 reach those extremes? In any case, that's awesome. Lehner 2280 corresponds to the 22 Neu series, right?

JERRY2KONE 11.14.2010 11:16 PM

Pinions?

I like the looks of those 8mm pinions. Anyone have a link for those type of pinions stateside? I need some pinions for a Neu 1527.

Time to post the pictures of the back of the motor, where the air-intake is located.

Two pieces of cut foam

And a cover from body scraps completes the installation. Cheap, functional but very uggly:whistle:

1:1 vehicle?

From the looks of the skid size next to the double yellow line that looks like a 1:1 car burn out. Pretty cool how you got the skid mark so quickly with smoke still coming off the road.

This HV setup is looking very interesting. That is some insane power you have put into this rig. Have fun.

Brake + accelerator until you get bored and then realease the brake... Those skid marks are not mine. I was asking for my molten rubber!

McKrill where are you ?
