Call and ask for Dena - -tell her what happened. We'll get a replacement out to you right away.

Thanx!

My motors left customs today (only 3 days this time!) and should be delivered to me tomorrow if everything runs as it should.
Wish me luck boys!

Wow what a sale. I've been out of the hobby for a while since I burned up all my motors. This is exactly what the doctor ordered. :yipi:

Time to dust off the trucks and buggies.

Can I put the 1717 in a 1/5 scale on-road? It is relatively light and only 2wd.

BTW, can I run the 1717 on 8s? It seems I should only run it on 6S.

nuz69 10.19.2010 03:33 AM

45k RPM max with the 1717, 8S would be better with the 1520 maybe, but with low gearing.

JoFreak 10.19.2010 10:29 AM

Went to pick up my motors from the local customs office today. They didn't believe the value declared with the motors and wanted to see proof of my payment with that actual value on it.
29€ customs (for 205$ value), about 2 hours of my time, ~10l petrol (~14€ right now), but still, couldn't be happier right now:yes:
And it still is a massive bargain, not that anyone gets the idea I'm complaining or something!
And exactly what I ordered in the package. No wrong boxes, and no wrong motors in right boxes.
But boy is that 1717 a monstrosity, makes the 1518 in my g-maxx look tiny:lol:

Thank's Castle!

Oh, hell yeah! First time I opened up the box and held the 1717 in my hand I was just shocked with it's size. Friend laughed when I told him it could take his wheelchair to 88mph and then dared me to do it.. Don't know about 88mph but I think I could make it a little bit faster then what it is now. LOL

I have one of those on my toothbrush-less I think

snellemin 10.19.2010 03:55 PM

The 1717 is pretty big to a 1/10 motor. But that outrunner is a like the size of my oil filter.

Here is my comparison

Hehehe! When I ordered that outrunner it was the biggest motor Hobbycity had at that time.

@Snellemin: You got 2 sexy pletti's, those are niceee.

Just received an email from Thomas that the motors were processed and shipped on 15 Oct 2010. That's great. However, I'll be receiving an air version of the 1717 instead of a car version.

Thomas, I replied your email. Thanks a lot for your help.
