Nice to see they are in the USA. I wonder if they are getting stuff from China and just building them? Or if perhaps they are a "mini-Neu" sort of company? I'm always in support of good competition! I wish them all the best!

Not sure about any replacement stuff as I haven't had to repair anything yet. With the CC moving sale, I picked up more than enough ammo in the form of 1520s and 1717s to look away from arc's larger motors. I do however use their smaller ones in my Mini Slash and Mini Revo. All seem like they are similar in quality to Medusa, which is to say not bad at all and worth the $$.

I keep hearing about Arc motors lately. Where can I find efficiency etc info? And what did you think of the large one?

I think there's a home page for ARC somewhere. Not sure if specs are listed on the link I posted somewhere in this thread.. I have the larger one and am very impressed with it. Usage was on a converted Muggy with oversized tires, geared for 45-mph. Throws that thing around without being too violent on the drivetrain. I had a fan mounted on it, and aside from running in tall grass motor temps were always in the 130-140 range (summer weather). I think for a buggy or truggy, it would run all day with no problems.

I just converted my XXL a couple of weeks ago and took it to a track a few days ago for a decent trial run, we got some footage so I thought I'd put it up. The trial uncovered that the 4mm perspex base I made for the battery and ESC was not strong enough, it broke across the full width bellow the battery. I was happy enough with the rest of the truck, no big issues to stop too much driving time. I was running the MMM 2200kv on the lowest settings with 4s Nano-tech lipo's and a tad loose slipper. I only had the throttle between 1/2-3/4 pull at anytime and was pleased with the temps, handeling and performance of the 7kg truck.

I have a few ideas for a rebuild but I'll be happy to hear other's too.

I have had a go at another build, this time with the battery centered, it seems to be a bit quicker and handles well. I was a tad worried about roll over with the battery position but after a trial on the roads and making sharp turns at speed, roll over seems no greater than when the truck was stock.

I'm new to the forum but not new to RC.

I have been following this thread since the start and my a/c finally got activated so now i can post,

First, MC i love this build everything looks so good and everything fits beautifully by the looks of it.

Second, I decided about a month ago that i was going to do a build like yours. Mine uses the wings on the sides like yours but i am using savage flux battery boxes. I must say, without this thread i wouldn't of done anything with my XXL. But i decided to go with a CD that sits on the lower plate. I used a normal Rc-M CD/motor mount but i was originally going to use a universal CD/motor mount.
