Yep, you are correct. The hacker c50 maxx are nice motors though, and look like none other. I am sure that the 1/8 shaft that comes out of that hacker will sell, hell I would buy ity for the right price!

I agree that Hacker C50's are nice. As well, I have a nice vintage Tamiya Avante with an original gold Tamiya 1200 battery and a Tamiya Dynotech 02H motor. The Tamiya Durga I just picked up with a MM5700 and 3s Zippy lipo cost a fraction of what the Avante is worth. I'm sure you know where I'm going with this..

Yep, you are basically saying that there are better options than the hacker, for the same price. I agree, but still like the hacker. I ran mine til the shaft broke in a hyper7 and the performace was great, and it ran cool. I now run a c50 8l on 4s in that buggy. Gearing is low, 11/46, but that buggy flies, and the equipment seems to be ok! Not a common setup, but works great for me.

The c50 line are very well made, I have a few and have had excellent power and service out of them. They are a bit overpriced new, especially compared to the medusa motors, which appear to be the perfect motor, cheap and powerful/effecient. I wish someone would directly compare them to a neu. I guess I could do that, just need to buy a 1512 1500kv motor to compare to the 36/60/1500 I have. The neu is twice the price, and i really do not see it performing twice as good in a buggy.

Worth a try...maybe he will give them to you for 50 each if you buy 2. I would buy one for 50 or so, see what he will do for you if you buy 3! Was the 50 quote for the stock replacement, or the 5mm version?

I'll send Kyle an e-mail tomorrow and I'll let you know what he says.

Sounds good, let me know. I was happy with the performance, even with the shorter magnet assy. It actually had a bit less torque than the L can I am using now, which helped the buggy stay stable. 75bucks is a bit steep, especially since the shafts are too brittle IMO.

Good news. Bought the motor hacker yesterday and I couldnt be happier. Very nice internal and external build. Never seen anything like it. Ill see if i can get some pics of it here soon.

It is a nice motor indeed. I'm still waiting for Kyle to get back to me with prices for the rotors.

Thanks again lutach. I doubt i'd be able to get anything for the stock 3.2mm rotor.

I have a couple C50 motors... one with a snapped shaft. I ran a Feigao rotor in it... and it ran fast and hot until I finally killed it. It wasn't worth spending $100 to fix it... but $50 sounds much better.

I would like to see how it would run on 3s in a light buggy. I think it's too hot for the 4s I was running. It was hella fast and ran hot with the Feigao rotor. I've been curious to see how a new Hacker rotor would compare to what I had in it.

My c50 maxx ran fine in my hyper 7 on 4s. I had to use a small pinion, 11t, to ge the speed near 40mph. It ran cool and had a nice balance of power and speed. Then I snapped the shaft. I now have a c50 8l in there and it has more torque, and runs slightly hotter. It definately pulls more amps, as the mm is heating up now, more than with the c50maxx motor. I would like to have the 5mm shaft and run it in the buggy, as the 8l is a bit too much on 4s. I also have a c50 6l that will go in the crt.5 on 3s.
