kulangflow - congrats to you on the house, the family, and the stay at home mom! It's tough, but as you know - worth it. My wife stays home with our kids too.

By the way, I noticed you're just south of Salt Lake. You should make a trip up to Boise sometime for one of our race days. Pretty good track, and always nice to have another brushless intruder to hang with :lol:

Yep, my signature is just a line from The Princess Bride. I guess it's only funny to those who are familiar with the movie. It's time for a new one anyway. I'll have to think of one.

My wife's full first name is Brianne, which is interesting because mine is Brian. Our birthdays are only 1 day apart too. I guess it was just meant to be. :-)

I guess we're a movie family because my son, Wyatt, is named after Wyatt Earp in "Tombstone" and my daughter, Mia, is named after Princess Mia in "Princess Diaries".

Hey nice pile of bricks man. Yea the first house is an exciting event for sure. I still remember buying my first home in Hawaii and I was scared to death commiting to such a large amount of money. It all worked out great and now we have our tenth house in California and don't even live in the USA. You did great for your first one. Hopefully you will only go up from there. It is nice to have so many good things in your life. When you have a good safe home, and your family is happy nothing else does matter. Although playing with R/C s is a nice way to pass your free time. Especially if the kids enjoy it as well. Congrats and good luck with the rest of your life.:lol:

I just wanted to thank you all again for the compliments and congratulations.

It blew my wife away to read this thread. Without previous knowledge, she figured the forums were just a bunch of kids talking nonsense. She didn't realize that this is a community of friends that supports one another in multiple facets of hobby and life. She is very impressed with the RC-M community.

My wife thought the same thing. She has actually looked at some more recent threads and changed her mind a little. Luckily my wife is extremely supportive of my hobby and is also thankful I spend my money on it instead of the low life things other womens' husbands do with theirs.

RC has been a good therapy for me. With the Depression, Anxiety and stress that Autism has brought on me, RC has been a good medicine for all of that. You guys here have helped me a lot in keeping my RCs rolling. I enjoy looking at all the families evolved in RC. If I had the chance to give you all here a gift, I would.

kulangflow, I forgot to tell you that you have a beautiful family.

lutach, I understand a bit about how you've felt with the Autism thing.

My son was born missing some important pieces of his brain. He's basically a 2 year old newborn. He can smile and laugh (which forunately he does a lot) and hold his head up, but he can't speak, can't roll over, can't sit without support and he's 99% blind (he reacts to light). He has severe seizures and requires constant medication and has enjoyed countless nights in the hospital. Fortunatley, he eats like a champ, and he's otherwise as healthy as a kid can be.

There's no name for what he has and there's nothing to indicate what progress he might make or how long he'll be with us. Like your daughter, we're just happy to have him as long as we can have him and the joy he brings into our family. He's not without his stresses, but we'd never give him up for anything. As long as he's healthy, we're happy.

Anyway, this hobby is a great release for the stresses of life. I like to think that my son enjoys it as well even if he can't express it. I often tell him all about how the cars work and tell him my plans for them and what-not. He is a lot of fun and a great kid to be around. Chicks love him too. :yes:

I love the super dads out there (Not in a gay way btw :lol:, I hope lincpimp doesn't see this. I know he'll take it to the grave :lol:). It basically keeps all of us going strong as we know we're not alone. My daughter loves RCs and she's already finding out how cool it is to jump a MicroT off a ramp. Afterwards when all the little parts breaks, I show her how to fix it. She's lights up any place that's boring, I wish I had half her energy. I already had people asking me if she can participate in the Special Olympics for kids, but she has a little problem when she looses and I'm working on that with her (She doesn't like to loose). Other people wants to see her playing soccer, but I can't have her like me when she gets older. She also like to play volleyball and she loves racing. We were going nuts when Felipe Massa won the last F1 race :party:. We all have beautiful kids and yes they bring us all a form of joy that sometimes it's hard to explain. My daughter and I get into our little own space sometimes and nobody can come between us when we get into that mode. It's hilarious sometimes as we laugh just about anything and when the Knock-Knock jokes comes up, oh boy we bring the house down :rofl:.
