Cleaned up the Super G-Maxx, Replaced the A-Arms, replaced the Wheelie bar, replaced stock with purple HardCore body cross braces, and etc.
I need to go create a custom wheelie bar because I don't think this one will hold without a brace on the bumper. It fell apart a few times due to the power of the P-BMaxximum.

Anyhow here are some new pics.

I need some new 40 series wheels.
It will be a while till I get some Custom 40 Series Beadlocks.

These are my custom TXT-1 Beadlock and my JumboJugg Custom Beadlock. The 40 series is gonna be really sweet.

I just reweighed my Super G-Maxx and it tops out at 10 lbs 11 ozs with the batteries and body on.

Only thing missing is the wheels/tires which probably weigh between 2-4 lbs total.

Dace bulkheads are lighter. I think the VBS towerless aluminum skid is even lighter (actually according to their site it is 50 grams lighter than the lightest competitor! Which is Dace Mfg.)

RC-Monster Mike 03.27.2005 10:48 AM

I truly doubt the Dace stuff is lighter than the Integy stuff. I have the towerless VBS on one of my trucks, and the Integy setup with Maximizer diffs and Integy cases is slightly lighter as I recall.

Serum 03.27.2005 11:53 AM

do you use the towerless VBS with 1/8th diffs or with the traxxas sizes diffs?

RC-Monster Mike 03.27.2005 11:54 AM

1/8 diffs. I don't think the vbs is available to use with the traxxas diffs.

I'll look for a pic of a scale:) Do you run plastic shock towers?

The vbs can use stock differentials

Being light is good but I don't expect to make it the lightest possible. If I wanted it light I could just take this off or that or replace this but I am happy with where its at and the lbs ain't too bad.

Anyhow I had to throw away my Velocity 6 wheels and the Mashers because they were too damaged on the hex and the tires were just gone and too stuck to the wheel.

Here are some final pics of the Super G-Maxx..
I just massively messed up the body and the rear bumper and wheelie bar. These pics are just before I did all the damage lol.. All fixed now until the next run.

I hope to get some more vids soon, but next vids will have a ramp and some jumps.

I can't help but grin when I see your truck, Jay. It just looks soooo nice!

HotnCold 03.31.2005 08:06 AM

It is one sweet looking maxx - I donk know how people mount their motors at the top of the motor mount - I would be worried about the motor taking the hit when flipped over.... Specially that Big MaXXimum - thats a lotta $$$ to risk at the top of the mount.... imho.... But still one sweet ride.....

Chase023 03.31.2005 02:53 PM

Well actually the only time I slightly scuffed the BigMaxximum was when I ran it testing it without a lid but most of the dmg went to the posts so it was okay.

With the body on as you can see the BigMaxximum is well protected by a thick Lexan plate (Thicker than the normal proline body) I devised on the body.

Thanks for the replies, especially grinning is good! hehe.

I need to change the springs to be able to jump tho. At this moment when I drop it from like 3 feet, it almost bottoms out so with 80 weight oil, all I need now are stiffer springs to do some crazy jumps. I should of bought the ramp at K B Toy stores when it was on sale when I visited Capazon..LOL.

Serum 03.31.2005 02:57 PM

Perhaps a set of the UE springs are good to go? Inner diameter is 16mm on those springs.
