I don't think we make the Sidewinder. I believe those are made by Raytheon.

I work for Nexus IS, which is a partner to Cisco. I get to work from home, which is the greatest part. I remotely fix Cisco products (like CallManager and Unity) for other companies. They're going to train me for Telepresence support soon as well.

Good times.

i work for an oil well product r&d facility. i'm a technician, and work with mechanical engineers testing their designs as well as customer qualification testing.

for those becoming mechanical engineers, please learn mechanics (hands on) before graduating and taking on you career. nothing worse than an educated so and so that sees themselves above others due to a school issued title when they can't apply in real life.

It make it very fustrating to work with them b/c they feel they are smarter than you even know I am the one with the electrical license and feild knowlage. I do need to give credit to the few that are really good at there job and understand what goes on in the real world(its great to work with them)

I work as a Sr Petrophysicist for CGGVeritas in the Exploration Divison. We process, analyze and evaluate seismic based oil and gas plays for clients who either are not big e ough to do their own or others whose staff lacks our type of expertise. My specific job is to condition and process well log data (porosity, water saturation and mineralogy) to help determine seismic to depth ties. I get to look at log from all over the world a find it both interesting and challenging. We helped with the recent sub salt discovery offshore Brazil.

I run my own business as well with other clients to just evaluate well logs and diagnose production related problems.

I'm once retired, very young and got called back into the industry for my expertise. We're DINKS - but have kids of the 4 legged kind.

OIT is a VERY hands on school, this is one of the main reasons that i chose to go here over some of the other schools in the nearby area like (OSU to name one). I have had courses in welding and machining, and will have more before i graduate that in my opinion give me a better idea of how the manufacturing side of Engineering works. I also plan on getting into an internship through MECOP this upcomming year to further inhance my "curb appeal" to employers as well as get a better understanding of Mechanical Engineering in practice.
