Even better, if a tree falls in the forest and lands on a Mime, does anyone really care?

This is the reason I stopped doing brushless conversions on nitro vehicles. I have had different MT's with all the same results. The pinions only last 1 to 4 runs. I have tried a variety of pinions and its always the same. The hardened ones just last a bit longer but the pinion always gets eaten by the spur. You might try some of the gear oil to help with the friction and that might make them last longer. I just gave up and bought an emaxx. Metal pinion and plastic spur is the way to go. Plus the metal on metal causes radio interference, unless you are running 2.4gig that is.

Just run the plastic kyosho spur gears. I run them on all of my buggies and have not had any issues...
