4 stroke or two, it doesn't matter...They still spew smoke and make to much noise. My E-Revo on 5s has more torque than any of those trucks in the youtube videos

just remember when your moving from 2 stroke to 4 you have to go up in displacement. If you really want to get wild i know Saito makes a new FG20 4-Stroke Gasser. if you can find a way to move the crank sensor you could use that evolution has one also small 4 stroke gas that is..

.40 2stroke = about .72 4stroke nitro

The 4-stroke noise is a exception... But it will be something very unique and thats what Im aiming for. If I end up not liking it which I doubt I wont. Ill convert it.

ya power to weight ratio a 2stroke will outperform a 4stroke. BUT w a 4 stroke the sound, torque, and fuel conservation is often worth it to us airplane guys.

notnodak 12.12.2008 12:58 PM

I think that is right because on a 2-stroke you make power on every stroke where on a 4-stroke it's every other stroke.

a 2 stroke will always beat a 4 stroke of the same displacement. A power stroke every 2 strokes or a power stroke every 4 strokes. 4 strokes are much more reliable, but this is r/c! What's reliable?

you mean every revolution, or every two strokes for a two stroke

ya ...just try slinging a 19 inch prop with a 2stoke.

Or just give in and go Brushless :)

Takedown 12.12.2008 01:05 PM

Thats what I want though. I'd rather have torque/power over speed and rpms.

can't get more torque than brushless!

Takedown 12.12.2008 01:07 PM

Cant get the official smell and 4-stroke sound.
