This past summer I spent a 2 week RC holiday almost only on Responses. Many long sessions on tracks included. Had no problem, but I wore them out good.
Just don't drive them when the foams are wet. The additional centrifugal force will rip them no problem. Also the rubber is so thin, I can see a single small cut or hole will lead to rubber flapping all over the place. |
Alrighty, hope they do good for a custom racetrack:)
They will do fine for most applications. Promod and Coolhand tend to like the extreme end of the power scale. I haven't blown a set of responses yet(though I have seen it happen!). A rip will surely lead to failure, but for a 14 cell setup, they will likley last you quite a while.

I have got some news and pics, i finally ran the g2r, for 3 mins only but it was AWESOME!!! Why only 3 mins? My one battery pack went POOF! pics; http://www.rcpics.net/img/72400

I got her up and running again, im just doing the cycle process with the batteries, everything looks good so far, 1 Q, my esc seems to be getting hot, but i dont think it is over or under geared , im running 14/70 on 14 cells, doesnt that sound about right? more pics coming soon!
I'm currently using 18/66 gearing on 12 cells, for 14 i would suggest 16/66 for starters
Im not sure if i should gear up though, because my speed is already insane! It has good accel and fast top speed. Hows your g2r crazy? Anything u'd like to share?
insane? with titans? you might not want brushless....:027: :027: remember, a brushed motor wont heat up from being undergeared. i think :032:
squee-sometimes a brushed motor does heat up when it is undergeared
sylvester-if this is any help a stock emaxx with titans has an 18t pinion and a 66t spur but i dont know the diffs are in a revo i believe that an emaxx has 13/37 gears in the diff(correct me if im wrong) |
i have never been on 14 cells, only on 12, its a big step for me, but BL WILL startle me for sure!
the revo diffs are the exact same ratio as the emaxx. sylvester, try a 16 tooth pinion.
will do , this truck is probably a little fast because it is pretty light! it weighs under 9 lbs..... ill get a weight soon.

yes it does, but on 14 cells traxxas reccomends to gear down a tooth or 2.....
im pretty sure it is only 1 tooth but that is just what i was told and i thought you said you were only running it 12 cells
