Wouldn't have any pics would you? I totally removed the screw and it's stuck like there is something else there maybe rust on a shaft?

Thanks

Jeff

Possibly. I don't have any pics but I can say it's the weakest clutch I've ever seen.

I figure I should update this thread. IT RUNS!!!!
Well, it's not finished, but it turns the rear wheel...

Here's the secondary jackshaft sprocket. Had to be heavily modded to mesh with the chain properly, keyed and mounted to the jackshaft:

Jackshaft completed:

Here she is:

Ignore the fuel tank how it's mounted. Just did that so I could test the motor, and make sure I had no binding.

I also made some seat stiffeners, but I will get pics of those tomorrow or sunday. I hope you enjoy it.

J57ltr 07.24.2009 07:13 PM

That looks great! Cant wait to see it completed. Are you itching to ride it?

Jeff

BL_RV0 07.24.2009 10:29 PM

Thanks Jeff! Yeah, I am excited to ride it. I just need to order a throttle, and spend a few hours on it, and it'll be done!

BL_RV0 08.03.2009 02:55 PM

More progress!

Had to cover the motor in plastic and a wet towel to shield it from welding sparks/heat.

Welded on 1" squarestock for brace for centre frame brace. Bent/welded centre brace.

Bent/welded rear frame braces:

Made a bracket to conform to the fuel tank- welded it, and hoseclamped the gas tank to it, with rubber guards.

BL_RV0 08.06.2009 01:24 AM

Come on throttle!! We need you!

J57ltr 08.06.2009 01:57 AM

Well I am sure you could get an old bike cable brake assembly and use it for the time being. Be interesting getting used to stopping:lol:

Jeff

BL_RV0 08.06.2009 02:06 AM

That was my original plan... But I found this throttle for 13 bucks shipped and ordered it, not gonna break the bank eh? Had no idea this Dbag was gonna be so SLOW! He should know that the 12th is my absolute deadline! :eyes:

BL_RV0 08.11.2009 01:00 AM

It lives!

Holy shit, I got alot done in 3 hours...

Throttle I got off ebay:

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...1249966322.jpg

Needed a brake cable tension adjuster, found one on a old bike I had laying around.

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...1249966316.jpg

Needed a end for the brake cable so I made one out of some 1/4" brass tubing, and soldered it to the cable.

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...1249966321.jpg

Cable installed on the brake lever:

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...1249966315.jpg

Had to make a guide for the brake cable:

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...1249966317.jpg

Welded it on:

http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t...1249966390.jpg

Can you guess what this is?

You might have guessed right:

Brakes hooked up on the rear:

Throttle return/connector I made:

All together:

Metallover 08.11.2009 01:08 AM

wow, got me confused.

Guess you should edit that before someone quotes you:lol:

Looks great. Is it ready to ride yet?

And btw, not calling you out, we all need to work on keeping the profanity down.

BL_RV0 08.11.2009 01:11 AM

Yeah, my photobucket is weird like that, I copy 1 img link and it links to another. All fixed now. I can ride it, still needs a couple things done (need to dremel out ignition hole for kill switch) and then it'll be officially done. I didn't have time today to ride it though- worked to the very minute i had to leave.

suicideneil 08.11.2009 10:46 AM

That looks like it'll be alot of fun when its finished.

BL_RV0 08.11.2009 12:30 PM

Yeah, I hope so. Thanks for looking Neil!
