I'm not sure if piano wire is hard enough. I use it in my Crawlers. This truck has a ton of torque, and is capable of doing standing back flips.

Hey, how did you mount the center diff? And what center diff did you use? The standard? And what spur gear? I'm trying to make a GST conversion as well, but not sure on how to mount the center diff! :)

Could you post a few more pics, especially of the center diff setup? I've been asking all around the web for some specifics on how to do this, so I'm hoping you can help! :D

As far as the pins.. I bought a new 23mm adapter set for another car, but I believe I ended up using the pins from that set in the GST. They are really thick and need to be pounded through the hole.

I just made a custom mount based around the Matrix TR mounts, and the one found here on the Monster store for the motor mount. I used some aluminum stock found at Lowes, 1/4" steel brake line for spacers and various hardware found at the LHS. I used the 66t spur from the matrix tr mounted to the center diff out of the genesis trans. I don't know how much more info I can give, it's been a a year or so since I built it.

Ah ok, thank you. Got some pics of the setup? Can't really see much of the center diff from the pics already posted.
