"Upgrades" will be considered just like a sales order. Meaning if we have 1000 pieces on order, you'll be #1,001. Based on the number of current back orders and our rate of production, it will be 2-3 months before the first "upgrade" will be shipped. So if you are in dire need of a replacement, the upgrade path is not your best option.

Please understand that this upgrade program is brand new for us. We are still setting up a system to make it easier on you guys and on us. The policies have been set, we just need a system in place to make it work.

I'll post more details as they become available, and keep you guys in the loop.

This is an important time for Castle. We have a wide range of new products hitting the market, with components we've never used before (Sensors, data logging and onboard adjustable BEC's). So we're excited and a little anxious at the same time. We're also working on improving the repair process. We are implementing a new system and new policies in regards to repairs and warranties. The end result should be a MUCH faster turnaround and the ability to track your repair as it moves through the different stages.

If you have questions or concerns, just post them here, this way everyone can see the answers. Thanks fellas and have a great weekend!

When can we expect the MMP to be available from A Main Hobbies?

I would be interested in a cheap Castle Link.

Those would be for bolting up a 1/10 motor to a 1/10 vehicle. Disregard them

What fun would that be?

Mine came with a coupon for a free castle link adapter. It says to register it with a code provided and they will send a free castle link. They must not have had enough stock to package them with the MPro.

That actually makes a lot of sense. After getting a few MMM systems, I have like 3 or 4 CLinks. A couple spares are nice to have, but any more than that is a waste. So, they save the expense of including it if the user doesn't need it, but still offer it for free if they do.

+1, very good idea! When I got my replacement MMM I had a spare CC Link and had no use for it, so I gave my spare one to Freezebyte and when I get my MMM back from CC I will have another spare which I'll probably give to a buddy of mine simply because I only need 1. Very good move on Castle's part :rules:

Castle Link adapter chip

The Mamba Max Pro will be coming with a coupon for the Castle Link adapter chip. This entitles you to a free Castle Link adapter chip, but does not include the USB cable; we cover the cost of shipping for domestic addresses and most international shipments. This is also true for the new Phoenix ICE line. You have 3 options for redeeming the code on the coupon. You can submit the code on our website, fill out the coupon and fax it, or simply mail it in.

Just FYI... We stopped including the USB cable with our products. So the Mamba Max and Mamba Monster no longer include the cable. For now the Mamba Monster will still come with the USB adapter chip, but eventually it will be replaced by the coupon as well.

That's good, because I only have about 100 USB cables laying around from this that and the other.

Good idea to do it this way. I like that you have decided to cut costs and eliminate redunduncy but still have a way to provide for your customers. Many would just charge for the adapter, yet I will not mention any names of who those people are.......
