The Norton I would have never bought, was only for PC resuscitation, and I am really not a computer type (should be obvious lol) but I managed to clutch this poor laptop from the gates of hell. I was pretty proud of that :)

So since then I just let Norton slug it, but then this 2010 Update.

Had no reason to think it would screw with something as innocent as a USB driver....

Anyway AVG is for sure less of a drag, I'll keep it awhile and see how it compares protection-wise.

I have drug AVG through some of the dirtiest most perverted sites you can name and my computer has no issues!

Ha yeah I used Avast once or twice too....

Yes the players are happy again.

I know most people swear by their ipods, I like the Zens, no DRM crap to deal with.
And you can set up your own navigation, I can find any song in ~3 seconds!

I'm gonna look at Avast again- thanks for that Tim.

No worries. I always use it just to run through and check computers. The pre boot scan seems to work well, just run it after you get avast updated. I have repaired a lot of screwed up computers and Avast seems to be the one that cleans them up 95 times in 100. I just use it as a clean up tool though I run eset myself as it gives the smallest performance hit last time I tested.

You will probably also want to download spybot!

^ +1. My three favorite security progs are Zonealarm firewall, Spybot search and destroy, and AVG antivirus.
