Yeah, I miss it too, just so much going on these days.

Ok, ran the truck again. Managed to toast a shock on something, so the al bodies lst shocks are going in this thing asap. Pulled the cartridge out of the shock body. Also lost the pinion, but found it and put some blue loctite on there.

Tried 2c charging on the flightmax 5k 40c lipo, did the job just fine. I really like the lipo, with the lst geared for around 43mph with the badlands the lipo did not get over 110f after 20mins. The temps outside were well over 90f. Plenty of push too, the 1717 6s combo is probably too much for this truck. Standing back flips, and it will back flip up to 15mph if traction is good. I plan to put the 20mm hexes on and run the lst2 stock wheels/tires. That should give the 1717 a workout.

I will say the lst tranny with the FOC installed, coupled with the tdr hub and tin 63t losi spur is just about bullet proof. And the tin diff gears with the nova rc cups, and al cases have handled the power just fine. I can make the wheels spin in the 17mm hexes, lots of torque. Might even go up to 23mm hexes and run some other wheel/tire combo.

This power system will go in my planned 1/6 buggy build. I will gear that for 50mpg at least. Should be fun!!! Will not start that project till later in the year, when I have the house and stuff sorted out.

Glad to hear you running again James! I'll have to take a ride up there soon and influence you to run more stuff!! Or give me the rest....

That 1717 sounds like a real meat house! I know the 1521/1Y on 6s was amazing in my XXL I ran. Soo much power!!!

Yeah, the 1717 seems more powerful, or maybe better suited to this application, than the 1521 1y.

I do have another 1521 1y, it will go back in this truck, and the 1717 will go with something a little heavier.

Yeah, we do need to bash sometime, been a long time since I have see you, beefcake!!!

A 1/6th getting 50mpg should be good considering it's electric.

I have been very happy with the 1717 in my LST2. I'm geared 25/63 with the "gear swapped" FOC on 6s. I still need to get my MMM tweaked in (it has a strange little stutter on take off). Linc, what motor would you recommend for a Muggy? I was thinking a 1518 or 1520. The 1515 looks a bit fast in the speed calc. Thanks!

I would go with the 1520. I ran a neu 1521 1y on 6s in my muggy with badlands, and some 40 series bowties and it did very well. I had 75k fluid in the center diff, as anything less caused massive front tire ballooning and no wheelies!!!
