I prefer my definition from march '10 that you quoted to be honest. While Rallygame did start off with converted buggies as I mentioned, it has been far removed from that for years now, the GT cars you mentioned are similar tech to where rallygame started many years ago, nowadays however the only similarities between a rallygame car and a buggy/those GT cars is the track/wheelbase dimensions, and the size of the wheels/tyres. Here in Europe where Rallygame is still Rallygame you wont find any of the GT cars you listed on the winners podium or even in the race, they aren't competitive and are seen as for bashing only. All the competitive Rallygame cars are made in Europe, mostly in Italy by the likes of BMT/Picco, Schepis, Technokit, Bianchi, Chrono (the most consistently successful mfg in Rallygame), and others all have narrow but very stiff twin deck chassis, transverse engines, belt drives, no centre diffs, and small torsion bars instead of anti roll bars.

I would guess that the first person that takes a Rallygame car to a GT race in the states would cleanup for a season, then the powers that be will come up with an inventive way to ban them for the future seasons.

Standard 8th scale shaft driven drivetrain is required for gt races here. Even in most of the open classes.

My hyper one seven is illegal in most places too.

So Rallygame and GT are completely different animals, and because I cheaped out and did my own half-arsed conversion, mine may be one of the few rallygame cars legal for GT races. Shame we don't have GT races here as although heavier than Rallygame cars, mine looks stiffer and lighter than all the buggy based GT cars.

Think your one seven would be illegal for Rallygame too, if like the lightning 1/7 and IGT2 its got a significantly stretched wheelbase.

Makes for a MUCH more realistic wheelbase though. :)
