Looks like about the same pricing as Hobbycity tho, shipping is just built in...

Yes shipping was included, no extra 30 dollars type thing like hobbycity. |
It looks like shipping is built in to the price tho.
Example: Turnigy is $58.50 http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=9517 Battman is $88.11 http://www.yeshobby.com/battman-5000...11-p-3200.html |
I see what your saying.
They raised their prices since I bought them... That kind of sucks, the 4s packs I got were 60 when I bought them, now they are 70. |
My 6S was shipped today. I'll see how it compares to the G3 Hyperions. (if it doesn't arrive DOA)
|
vortex do you think the 30c will be enough for your 1520?
|
I hope so, I will be geared for about 40mph. I'll see how it performs.
|
I ripped the heat shrink off the 2 I bought, They are IDENTICAL to HC Packs. I reshrinked them w/HC 50mm heatshrink (thick stuff!) but have yet a chance to try them out. Hopefully the following weekend I can get to the track ?

Got it today, 8AWG sucks, I think the connector will desolder itself since I did a shitty job. Reading fine on all 6 cells, charging now. It says max. 1C on mine. Also fits perfect in the DesertboyXL Savage chassis.
|
That pack looks almost identeical to my turnigy 4s 40c 5000 mah pack. Some type of wire, shirnk wrap, balnced wires, and dimensions.
|
im very tempted by the battmann lipos but for a similar price i can get the turnigy 40c instead of 30c...
The only benefit is that battmann has them in stock... also is there a way of testing the true c rating of these lipos??? |
Yes, but it aint cheap.
You can buy something called an EagleTree Data logger- it basically plugs in between the battery and esc, and measure the current ( amps ) and voltage that the motor & esc are drawing. With the PC software that comes with it ( or bought seperately, dont have one myself so not certain ) you can plot a graph of a run, and then by cross referencing the voltage droop of the batts vs the current being pulled at any one point, you can determine quite accurately the actual C rating ( just need to determine what voltage level droop you deem acceptable under load- 3.2v per cell generally is agreed as fine ). They cost about $100, so for some people like racers or testers its a worth while investment, but for the occasional basher... might be a bit too much money to pay for something you wont use very often ( just as well my penis came as standard... ). |

As for another update, I would say I have to have at least 150 cycles on one of the packs I bought. I designated it my basher pack. Use it almost everyday. Still holding strong. I may be purchasing some of their 2s hardcases and get a review up if I do. |

It's ben almost 4 months since I've received my 4s 5000mah packs.
One pack shortly after receiving it I turned into a 3s pack because one cell crapped out. Here as of recently the othe Pack took a big SHIZ, it had swollen to the point that I flat out disposed of it without trying to salvage any cell. I only ran this pack maybe 20 times at the most. I wouldn't buy another one ! |
