First run...
18T Pinion, 4S LiPo Can't wait to get my 24mm hexes. These 23mm keep loosening up. Motor temps never exceeded 100 degrees, ESC was topped out at 120 degrees. http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u...haseII_043.jpg |
OK...everyone together... Cow Bell...Cow Bell...Cow Bell 22.2v of pure, insane power... http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/y...IMG_0001_1.jpg |
60C Lipos - Sweet lets see how well they run...
|
Yes, indeed we shall....
|
Not sure I will be getting it running soon. Work deadlines are cutting into my "Me" time and I'm heading out tomorrow for the Battlegrounds Comp. I will try to get something...
|
is there really a huge noticable difference between using 35c and 60c lipos?
how much faster would the battery drain? |
The battery wouldnt drain any faster- the motor pulls current, the battery doesnt push it. Beyond a certain point ( C rating ) you wouldnt notice any difference in terms of punch because the motor will only pull so much current ( as much as it needs to do what you want it too- acceleration & gearing load wise ), but the lipo may well run cooler as it can provide much more current than it is needed too. Good analogy for that is a fit person working out and a fat person working out; fat person will keel over and die from exhaustion long before the fit person :mdr:

Where did you get the HPI Wide Track Conversion and the 24mm adapters? Would like to build one myself. Been thinking about it for awhile, cause I have an XL with a 1527 and I think this would be better suited.
|
Ordered them from my local hobby shop.
http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/102530/ Can't find the Wide Track Conversion Kit...Looks like it may be discontinued. |
Nothing at the link you provided..

I'm curious, how did you set up the body? Does it hold?
|
The "wide track conversion" is nothing but the HPI 86249 Super Heavy Duty Wide Axles Savage XL axles.
|
I have one body post on the top of the radio box and then mounted a short post on top of each battery box.
It works great. |
Could you snap a picture or 2 of how you did it exactly? :)
