What rockers are you running? What color springs are you running? What weight oil are you running? DO you have anti-swaybars?

medicineman 05.21.2010 08:54 AM

ok i am running 45weight oil in the shocks, p2 rockers in the back. LT rockers in the front, and tekno swaybars

the biggest problem is while turning even at low speeds the inside wheels lift off the ground. So i end up almost stopping for corners.

Chadworkz 05.21.2010 09:01 AM

Well, you need to switch to the same rockers (I recommend P1) front and rear, the middle-weight Tekno swaybar bars, 55wt oil in the front, 60wt oil in the rear, and Traxxas VDP piston set (off-road position) in all four shocks.

medicineman 05.21.2010 11:37 AM

thanks i will try all that out it will take while for the VDP piston set but thats just how it goes

Muggydude 05.21.2010 01:38 PM

Yes, no mixing rockers. And as Chad said, thicker oil and the VDP kit will help too.

Muggydude 05.21.2010 01:39 PM

Oh and Chad, any updates on the ESC plate?

JThiessen 05.21.2010 03:10 PM

MedicineMan - Are you in WA DC, or WA State?

Took mine off, have the new template drawn with the holes for the TRX MMM hold-down located, I just have to cut it out and smooth it up!

Muggydude 05.21.2010 05:14 PM

Cool, thanks! As I said before, there's no hurry. But glad to know it's coming along.

Paratroopers? I don't know how I know that......weren't they featured in "Band Of Brothers"?

medicineman 05.22.2010 12:53 PM

yeah we are airborne

the 1-503 was in band of brothers they were at the eagles nest in the end in front of the fire place, also a big and rich song The 8th of november now they call us the "lost ranger bat" don't know why

Chadworkz 05.22.2010 03:07 PM

My Grandfather was a Paratrooper in the 11th Airborne, and served in the Philippines, New Guinea, Leyte Gulf, and was in Japan after the war had ended, helping with the clean-up. Along with many other medals, he received the Purple Heart, and both Bronze & Silver Stars.

My Dad was in the 6510th Air-Base Group, but was never deployed for action.

I tried to join the Marines as soon as I graduated, but I failed the physical due to breaking my neck during a football game my Senior year (broke 2 vertebrae, fractured my skull, and had a Grade-3 [major] concussion with retrograde amnesia [5 days]).

medicineman 05.22.2010 04:17 PM

Yeah i have no family history of service but i have deployed 2 times to Iraq and three to Afghanistan, got a few awards but nothing like your grandfather I am Medic now in Afghanistan., How do you do that in football, you guys must have had alot bigger players than we did.

Chadworkz 05.23.2010 09:13 PM

First off, I want to thank you for doing what you do, you have my deepest gratitude...and going back as many times as you have, that puts you way up there as one of the best people I know.

Well, I was a running back, so because of my speed and power, I also sometimes played special-teams (kick-off & punt team and kick-off & punt return team). Anyway, during a kick-off where we kicked off, I ran down to try to make the tackle, and when I hit the guy, with both of us running full-speed (I ran a 4.6 forty), he lowered his head (I was shorter than him) and we hit in such a way (the top portion my face mask & the top of his helmet hit) where all of the pressure & force was focused on my forehead (fracturing my skull), as well as bending my neck backward (breaking my neck), and the rebound of my brain hitting the inside of my brain-case (I forget what that's called) caused the concussion and amnesia. I was paralyzed for a short time due to the swelling, but there was no permanent spinal cord damage.
