No problem, I have been looking for a set of big bores as well. I have seen many put big bores on their Lx1's and figured that the raze should be able to handle bigger shocks. Hell it would help with my set up since it is kind of heavy.
I have an older raze thread on here somewhere. http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...highlight=raze And another older one. (not mine) http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...ht=raze&page=2 |
Here's my raze it just needs a new esc and a 2.4ghz radio and a few little other things hopefully ill get it running by thanksgiving

Yea ur right about the support and waranty part I'm sending both of mine in tomorrow hopefully they dnt take long to get em' back to me. Did u paint on top of ur body?? I kinda want to do that go mine because im getting sick of the red body and wanted to color it black but i dnt feel like buying a body lol.
How fast do u think urs is on 4s and on whaT gearing?? Thanks, Miguel |
They usually take around a week or two before they repair it or send you a new one. Great customer service though!
My body is a a Raze body. I bought a clear one and painted it the usual way. I run around 35-45 on 4s on a dead straight. Plenty of pep for bashing and sand with out getting the motor warm. I am geared 14/54 or what ever the stock spur is. |
The stock spur is a 46T i think, im running 20/46 on 5s lol I'm gonna be trying to beat a rustler vxl. do u think its possible?? if not im gonna have to try to put the 25T on it lol!!

Here is the last updated pic before i get my esc and reciever, i just cant decide if i wanna velcro the batteries to the mud guard or the chassis
http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...94/rapi001.jpg |
I imagine with a 2200 I could gear higher as well, 14t pinion is pretty fun and fast for me, 20t on 5s I have a feeling will be crazy.
Mac, you only need one servo saver. The buggy has one built in you don't need another one on the servo as well. I would look into getting Mikes battery/esc tray for your buggy. It will complement it nicely as well as give your esc and battery a place to stay secured. I wouldn't trust velcro on anything but light planes and helicopters. |
would u mind getting me a link to the servo horn that u have that will work for me and the servo tray that ur talking about??
thanks |
Battery/ESC tray. If you call Mike he can work something out that will work perfectly.
http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...MFPbatterytray I just got a custom one with the mudgard clearance. He can make custom sizes with esc mounts though just have to ask. I don't know which servo you are using so I can not get a link for the horn. I use Racers edge horns. Always a good fit and good quality. http://www.amainhobbies.com/index.ph...&filter_mfr=22 |
well im kinda on a budget so if i use a BATTERY BOX ILL probably make it lol
and thanks for the link to the servo horn i got the dynamite one |
wow, i actually got my esc's from castle in 1 week!!now i kno y everybody likes there support lol well i got my raze up and running and its insane!!! sadly i only ran it for about 5 mins since it started raining :( tomorrow im gonna take iit to my local bash spot but i think the 20t pinion will be a little to much lol
heres my cuurent set up:http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...rablmmm003.jpg sorry for the bad quality pic. dis is what i hate about a center diff lolhttp://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...rablmmm004.jpg i guess i need some new on-road tires lol i also just picked up a almost new raze buggy roller.http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=695549 do u think it was a good buy?? |
