i think they work in the way that they just dont offer as much grip as another disc.... They work well on loose surfaces supposedly... I thought 2 on the front and t regular discs on the rear could work well...

Edit: you asked about BEC's earlier...I'm using this one successfully (up to 10s):

The Castle BEC Pro would also be an obvious choice.

I have also used the linked hc bec up to 8s with great results. A little bulky but it does the job. I can imagine the CC bec pro would be much better.

Just be aware that if you use the CCBEC Pro and decide to later on use motor brake, it is only rated for 6s. Without brakes it's good to 10s (air) or 12s (heli w/ no brake).

Wonder why, I can't handle the return voltage spike under motor braking (regen)?
