I am running 18/46 I had to dremel a bit off the fins of the gear holder, but the mount is crap. I was looking at Mikes too that will fit the 1/8th ? That 1/7th out there makes buying stuff for this a bit of a pain NativePaul, Yeah these are standard 1/8th for ofna, kyosho gt1 etc, Kyosho came out with the GT2 which is a bit longer. Ive used a heat gun to soften the body and tuck the sides in a bit on 1/5th scale |

The older 1/7 dm-1 is totally compatable with the newer spec length car. Only difference is chassis length is longer on the old one (longere rear center dog bone) and the rear shocks are the lay down style like the front shocks instead of the stand up rear on the newer spec 1/8 version. I actually have both cars. I converted the original longer dm1 years ago and still have it and I just got this car because it was a good deal and I just wanted something new. |
I was wrong sorry running 18/47, OFN35247, I'm using the Stock single speed gear mount I just had to shave maybe .5mm off the top of 3 prongs with a dremel red sander barrel. I could fit a 20 pinion in there but it was pretty snug and didn't have a spare 19. Thanks for the info on the 1/7th. If the wife quits buying new seasonal shoes and dresses I'd like to get Mikes mount and his single speed 8mm to use the revo spurs

I like that orange and black together Jhautz. Here's how mine came out. I wish I blacked out my fog lights like yours. Video fly-by I'm still contemplating adding the stickers or not.

That sure is slick Bruce ! You guys make me wish I spent more time on mine, my Porsche body came in after a month of waiting and now I have guests in from out of town for a week then the next day off to Houston for another 5 days. I wonder how I could get put on house arrest without a fine or hurting anyone

Thanks again guys, I'm proud of it.
After a pack and a half I had the cc2200 up to 145f the chassis felt like it was soaking it in good. She ran smooth and tracked great. Saturday, I was out on a LED test run in the dark. I heard some scraping and pulled her over. I walked the hundred feet or so over to see her missing a front wheel. About that time I hear the echoing sound of my wheel hitting a curb off in the distance. I circled that lot twice after daylight in my truck and then came back another time and finally found it. I'm still looking for the wheel nut. |
