On the inside of the body you mean? If so, you can when its clear but when you paint over it, you can't unless its really deep.

yes, you do not see the cut lines. let the blade do the work, do not press down hard with the exacto knife.

That's exactly what i needed!!!!!!!! Cool, i think i got it! Now just gotta put the pattern on the outside, tape on the in and cut...very gently! thanks guys!

Update, lots of pics. I wasn’t real happy with the batteries zip tied on to the mud guards, so I made battery trays out of clear polyester. The polyester is 5mm thick and it is really easy to work with. It doesn’t crack either, it just bent when I hit it with a hammer. Finally got a good shot of the motor mount and got the rear body mounts put on.

The truck only weighs 6 lbs even with 16 cells, no motor or esc so it should fly with a 7xl. Hopefully I will be getting the 7xl next week, I decided that the 1940 was just too expensive. on to the pics...:018:

WOW! Makes me want to do a truggy! Nice man, real nice!!!

cemetery gates 06.22.2006 09:33 AM

thanks :018:

i have a question about gearing. if i get a 7xl what pinion should i get? i will be running 16 cells with 51 tooth center spur and stock ofna diffs. thanks

cemetery gates 06.22.2006 01:56 PM

No one knows about the gearing?:032:

neweuser 06.22.2006 02:01 PM

Not to sure about a buggy, and it would depend on what diff ratio, but i'm gonna take a shot here and say maybe a 14 or 16? Search the threads and look for truggy's / buggy's and see what they say? That would be my best guess. What pitch are you runnin for your spur? Many things matter when selecting the proper gearing...

16 cell's for a 7xl is to hot. You are better off with a 9xl.

neweuser 06.22.2006 02:13 PM

I run 16 cells with a 10xl. with truggy, look in the thread for truggy for gearing.

cemetery gates 06.22.2006 02:21 PM

ok, how about going in the middle with the motor with a 8xl on 16 cells. why is the 7xl to hot for 16 cells? :032:

Sneeck 06.22.2006 03:04 PM

Cause the motor will rev very high. You should keep it in the 35.000 range, this to keep from going to extreme small pinion's to compensate for the high rpm. But it also causes the motor to work hard running allot of rpm, decreasing power and efficiency.

The motor has a rpm/ volt of 2332, multiply this by 19,2 volt's and you get 44774 rpm.

The 9xl has a rpm/ volt of 1853, multiply this by 19,2 volt's and you get 35577 rpm.
