Ah, I see. I guess I am blind!
Although, in my defense, those are animated GIFs, not MPGs. :dft012: OK, that was a weak defense, but it's all I had! |
Sorry. U R Correct!

made the motor mount today, and the battery tray yesterday. now i got to reinforce the old motor area on the chasis for mounting
|

Looks good so far. I would definitely support the rear of the motor or you'll be chewing spurs after a couple of jumps or rough terrain. It looks like you already stiffened up the motor mount area, but there is an optional part you can get that helps:

yeh, once i get the mount dialed in totally for the pinion to spur, then ima work on the rear brace.

Hey canadianrcist is right next to me right now and we're putting the revo together. We've ran into a problem though. On the motor, all 3 connections are black and we have tried and tried but the throttle isnt working right.. If someone could help with this, we'd be really happy!
|
What do you mean "not working right". BL motors don't have a polarity per se. If it runs backwards, just switch two wires...
|
It just isn't turning. do we need to wire the ubec for it to work or can we just use the bec in the mamba maxx til we get the time to wire it? I programmed the esc for him, following the directions, but we do not know which wire on the motor is for which on the connector.
|
If you run too many cells on the internal BEC, it will thermal if not burn up. Anything over 10v will get it hot quick, especially when using high power servos on a heavy MT. A receiver pack should be cheap and easy to get until you get a UBEC.
Like I said, the wire order doesn't matter unless it runs backwards. Just hook any wire on the controller to any wire on the motor. It truly doesn't matter. Does the motor stutter when you give it throttle, or does it not do ANYTHING? Did the motor make the beeping sounds when you were programming the ESC? |
Alright i just tried the white wire on each of the motor wires and none worked. the white wire is the one that isn't polarity, right?
|
nope, it makes no noise, just acts like there's no power. i guess we can just try to hook up the ubec.
