How about asking Mike to make an E version chassis for the 8th scale buggies?

nativepaul 05.01.2007 07:53 AM

I just watched that about 10 times, that goes very nicely and looks like it handles very well, I realy can't wait to get mine finished now, what gearing are you useing in that clip?

Serum 05.01.2007 11:37 AM

17/46 iirc

Candyman2 05.01.2007 05:37 PM

yeh i think so, it might be a bit tall, top end is a lot and it gets a bit hot. Could come down to 16 pinion but I'll probably leave it as is for now.

Your cameracrew showed up healthy again?

Serum 05.07.2007 05:03 PM

Fast and nimble for sure!! is this with the 3700's? it's agile for sure.. :)

suicideneil 05.07.2007 05:08 PM

That was insanely fast- sounds like it either under or over geared slightly- I think you mentioned that though. It drifts round bends really well and the steering is really sharp on grass and tarmac. I think its a cool feature that you can see the nice blue can of the motor through the shell- really trick/slick.

jnev 05.07.2007 06:29 PM

Its taking a while to download for me...

nativepaul 05.07.2007 06:51 PM

That is exceptional, It looks like its planted even on the changes in surfaces. Does the chassis have the same kick ip angle as the stock one? The springs look stock is that right? Have you changed the weight of the shock oil? What does it weigh RTR? You have more cells than me but that chassis looks liighter, so maybe they are similar.

I saw that my order from mike got to the UK today so hopefully I should have mine running on wednesday. Watching your videos is building my anticipation and probably spoiling me as with 12cells I know mine wont be as fast, fast enough tho I think, especialy as I haven't driven an RC car for about 15 years, so my skills won't compare to your oun.

Candyman2 05.07.2007 06:51 PM

this is with the 3300's not tried the 3700's yet. The first pack i've had charged for a week!

Same kick up as the stock chassis, as for setup its as it came out the box, its very easy to drive, compared to the truck its easy. I think its a tooth over geared but im going to leave it for now, it gets hot but doesnt thermal and I was pushing it hard.

Forgot to say it weighs 4kg ready to run and acording to serums calculator tool spreadsheet thingy its between 44 and 48mph top speed..

jnev 05.07.2007 07:24 PM

Just watched it... looks very fast, and just sticks to the ground.

Candyman2 10.22.2008 05:29 AM

Hello everyone! forgot to post this when I took it:

Video: 3rd run Aug 07.mpg - 28.3mb

Car hasnt changed much, took this and my maxx out for a drive the other day and had myself a whole lot of fun! will post more videos this weekend. This video it was running on 16 x gp3300's, none of this lipo stuff for me! :)

some updated pics of the car, also I found these velcro straps which im going to try. The thin ones are 25mm across more or less the same as the gorilla ones, but the others are 50mm, hopefully they wont snap!
