Maybe you relax more in the practice and warm up.
When the race starts or sport you tense up and try to hard.
I am learning this more and more as i play with rc and another sport.
It is like hitting a baseball. It seems if you try to nail it out of park.
You can't never hit it. You relax a little and swing more accurate some.

I bet it is hard to drive when you are on your lid huh.....

I got my mount a few days ago too. The only issue I had was the holes not being tapped deep enough. I didn't have a tap so I just cut off a little of the screw. other then that the mount looks great and let me finally finish my 8t.

The two screws that are no longer being used for the Batt. box work perfect for the rear diff/motor mount. Also, you may want to consider getting some longer ones for the front diff mount; with the spacer in place there are'nt alot of threads penatrating with the stock screws. I went from 1/2 to 5/8 in. long for the fronts.......................

I used 4mm screws for the front mount. The metric screws seem to have a bit more bite than the stock 8/32 screws. Unfortunately, I had to run out and buy some 8/32 screws. I converted everything on my 8ight (that I could) over to metric.

thanks, I did change the front ones to longer screws cause the regular ones wouldn't hold it very secure. I also changed to 4mm because that is what the hobby shop had.
