Hmmm, something I never thought about with a HV set up, so I guess its just fitting it on the car thats hard huh? A place speedo is cheap, mech brakes is cheap because I have tons of servos, and lipos cost the same, along with the motor Something to think about:mdr: |

I'd try using heavier oil like 60wt in the front and 45wt in the rear. I get 15min with my 8S A123 setup with a NEU 1515/2Y and the HV110/pistix I just wish there were an affordable car esc that could handle it..... |

Old thread, but I figured that I would dig it up.
I am currently running a novak hv 6.5r in the crt.5 with the MM on a 5000 3s neuenergy lipo. Not really powerful enough for me, and it cogs badly at times from a standing start. I have played with all of the settings and found that low timing, high start power, and the punch control disabled is the best. Still not very good startup. I will try direct soldering the motor to the esc, and then try another mm esc I have. Even with the punch control disabled, and the big battery, it still lacks the punch I would like. I may try thicker center diff oil, but it seems fine, not much ballooning. |
