All I'm saying is that I don't see any connection whatsoever. There made by Trinity. Its just that Horizon is selling them. I'm sure Tower will be too. It wouldn't make any sense to use a Trinity motor when they have there own line of brushless ESCs and motors...

Tower does sell the trinity motors, plus they will not be tha good on a brushless mt. Keep in mind the kind of setup required to put "50 mph" on the box. Most people are not going to drop the extra cash to go electric if the speed is not there. The new emaxx was a bold step for traxxas, as large electric is still a small segment. The were wise and developed a rtr that was good for wet areas, and also had potential for brushless power. Many emaxx buyers will leave it stock and play in the snow, or just outdoors in mixed terain. Traxxas provided a vehicle that can satisfy two different types of driver, which is difficult these days.

It would be nice if losi brought out a brushless mt, but I do not think that the time is right yet. Plus it would be an all new platform (if it is 10th scale, or similar in size to the emaxx) and who is to say that it will be any good. The xxx series are great race vehicles, but not as sturdy as a rustler, or as upgradeable. I love my xxx-cr, but I do not bash it like my stampedes.

Losi is still more race bread and minded. A brushless monster would be incredibly unnexpected and down right ludacris for them. It would catch everyone off gaurd. As of now brushless is more bashing oriented because most racers are close minded like losi and don't like how we drop in brusless and its better all around than there all mighty nitro. Expect something unnexpected since they have pretty much done enough minis, bastard lsts and and zzz.

Ah yes, the damn mlst should be thrown away. Maybe losi is going to unviel a program where they buy back your useless mini lst and melt it down for scrap.

the idea of 1/8 electrics are rapidly expanding more than we all think it is especially now that novak has conversion kits. it wouldnt suprise me at all if they came out with an e-e8ight or an e-e8ight-T. whatever it is we are getting real close to finding out:party:

Be careful what you wish for! Though Losi has made the greatest mistake of loosing Gil Jr. to Kyosho America they keep making mistake after mistake by introducing another revamping of a Mini LST or T. The only good that came out of this was when Gil was still with Team Losi they managed to release the LST and the 8ight. Which by the way the name is now just LOSI. Horizon hobbies has managed to take a great company and destroy it because their is no one at the helm with inovative idea's which sooner or later if they keep heading on that path they might just be beaten by Duratrax. I wouldnt doubt it if the next release is another Mini only with a LOSI brushless setup. I hope I am wrong and LOSI has finally decided to get help with marketing and read into the industry. There is only 50+ RC websites that are linked to magazines for god's sake. And the phrase, "becareful what you wish for." well if you have not yet heard. The RC Pro Series will be allowing 1/10th and 1/8th brushless RC's to run in the same class with Nitro. I feel I may have to invest in Diapers and tissue paper. :diablo:

lame.....

BL_RV0 01.17.2008 10:29 AM

it MIGHT have been cool if it was 4wd..... damn you losi!

jnev 01.17.2008 10:34 AM

Yah, definitely not what I was expecting and I'm kind of disappointed actually. But I am curious as to how the Losi BL system compares to the Traxxas one.....

crazyjr 01.17.2008 11:25 AM

I guess this proves what we have feared, The team Losi racehouse is no more. Horizion is after the dollar and not the racers

lincpimp 01.17.2008 11:29 AM

Lets try two of these losi brushless sytems in a new emaxx, that sounds like a good test! LOL
