I sent an email to RPM about making arms for the CRT.5. They sent back that at this time they did not plan on making arms for the CRT. I sent back that we need them for the CRT.5 (not the CRT) and received no response.

Maybe if everyone here sends a quick email to RPM we'll get something going.

I better bumper would be nice too. I broke the support that goes from the upper bumper to the gear case 2Xs. After that I ziptied a hollow elastomer bumper in the space from the crt bumper to the gear box. This works very well as actually a cushioning bumper.

The guys at t-bone-racing.com make lots of bumpers and would probably make one for the crt.5. I've used a few of theirs and the "nylon" are the most durable and forgiving on other parts of the car.

They can not be serious! 125 for a steering servo saver - OFNA CNC CRT .5 parts are bonkers prices!

You can use lusford buckles instead of upper arms. There was a mod on the jammin forum for it. Hope that helps!

Nope, they lowered the price to $103.

Thats just stupid...

Arct1k 02.27.2008 06:34 PM

It isn't the arms - I break the servo saver - I've just moved to the inner holes and hope that helps... Also slacked off the servo saver a lot...

Arct1k 02.27.2008 06:57 PM

Well to be fair I think I've spend $40 on them now!

jnev 02.27.2008 07:59 PM

I bet Mike can make one of those for much cheaper.

 I was thinking the same

rschoi_75 02.27.2008 08:30 PM

wow... that price is ridiculous. And I thought the price for the cnc hubs were high...

In the pro kit they include a softer servo saver spring...it seems to let the saver do its job much better..

The funny thing is that I broke about 3 stock servo savers(upper one, that attaches to the servo linkage), and its not even the one they make in aluminum! I went so far as to adapt an rc10gt servo saver(complete) and managed to break those too! Right now I have an ofna 9.5 servo saver The part in the lower right of the pic(the one that the servo linkage attaches too) I just drilled out and rounded some edges and now I have no problems!(so far!)

Bye:mdr:

Yep...almost as much as a UE Supermaxx servo saver...if you could still buy them.

GO-RIDE.com 02.27.2008 09:38 PM

Man I've broken a bunch (at least 6) of lower front arms and a couple of upper arm turnbuckles and only one servo saver part. When I broke the servo saver I thought it was just a fluke. I got rear ended by a MT at the track and it smashed me straight into a wall. I actually run the stiffer saver spring (with a full sized servo) because the softer one was too soft and I was getting bump steer.

What I wish they would do is offer some of the parts by themselves. I'd like to buy just front arms for $6 instead for F & R for $10. Does anyone want to trade 2 front lower arms for 6 rear lower arms? I have 6 rears and need more fronts.

I've also broken a few body mounts. It's a joke to spend $10 for a bunch of other parts just to get the body mounts. And what about the upper arms that are $10 because they come on a parts tree with parts that never break?

Luckily I love the way the E-crt.5 drives both in the backyard and at the track. It's a blast cutting under 1/8 scales on every tight turn.

Arct1k 02.27.2008 09:55 PM

I fixed the body mount issue by using cut down traxxas pede ones - $4... Just cut them off and drill a hole through them...
