Okay, Franz said it has all the modes and programming of the Jazz except for car's reverse mode.

Nay, the MMM is about to come next month, so I say getting this controller won't be any good, really.
I believe the MMM has a big chance of running 8s easily. |
Ok, anyone using KIRA 600 in something about Emaxx size? How much voltage can they take? And current? I look at kira and may be nice option to medusa, do you think so?
About Jive- no version with reverse?? |
They are gaining momentum in brushless conversions in germany, but due to their price level and cheaper/better options they are not so wide spread.
. Emaxx with Kira 600/24, Jive 80LV and 4s lipo: video . Emaxx with Kira 650/17, Jive 100LV and 6s lipo: pic, video . Mugen MBX5T Truggy with kira 600/24, Quark125b, 4s lipo or 4s2p A123: pic, video And so on ... >How much voltage can they take? And current? Depends on what winding you choose. Their rpm limit is at 50000rpm. I would choose them about the same way as you would choose a Neu motor. Run them between 30000-40000rpm and you should be fine with an appropriate gearing. Since they have a built in fan, more rpm translates to more cooling. For reference i would expect more then 120A peak from a Kira 600/24 with 4s lipo, but this really depends on the load you will put on it (vehicle wheight and gearing). A Kira 600 is a light (270gr) motor fitting somewhere between a Neu 1509 and 1512. It works very well in a 1:8 Buggy on 4s (Kira 600/24) and due to its cooling fan is also able to cope with a lighter MT or truggy. But i would rather choose a Kira 650/15 or 17 with 5s or 6s when you are planing to power a truck or truggy. The jive ESC series still has no reverse. |
Thank you for your answer. Will Kira 600/20 be not enough for 6S2p a123 in emaxx #3905? I don't want backflips all the time :) Or it has to be Kira 650 for emaxx sized MT for 6s a123?
Do Jive ESC have current limiter set by user? |
The Kira 600 sure has enough power for an Emaxx especially on 6s2p A123 (Good for 3KW peak). The bigger Kira 650 would run cooler under heavy load, but the Kira 600 should stay in check tempwise, but may be on the hotter side. I would fit the Kira 600 with the kontronik KK600 heatsink as showed in the MBX5T pic.
The Jive ESC has no feature to set a current limit. |
And which german motor you would suggest for emaxx with 6s??? 900-1500W.
