Actually there are a lot of reasons to be happy about this trip. We were posted the 3 years ago and we look forward to going back. The only difference is that I was not into R/C then. From what I have been hearing and seeing is that a large amount of R/C gear comes out of Korea, including Quark ESC's, certain Lipos, and a few other items of interest. There have been a few guys on the RCM forum that have told us on here that the R/C scene is pretty big there as well, with race tracks scatterd throught the region. Hopefully Lipos will be cheaper there.

I'll be bugging you a few times if you don't mind . I can't wait to see what you'll be getting there.

The plan right now is for me to become a stay at home Dad for a while with us just acquiring custody of my three young children. So my wife is already asking me if I can start a home business moving R/C stuff from Korea to the USA for the sake of the hobby:yes:. So it is something to consider:whistle:. I have worked since I was 15 years old:whip:. I retired from the US Navy in 1997 and went right into the civilian sector for work:oh:. What will I do with my time now??? :rofl:TEE HE HE HE HE Somehow I think I may find more time to play with the R/C stuff:yipi:. Believe me I will be on here as much as possible and looking for any way that I can help people out in acquiring any kind of R/C gear from Seoul:yes:. Life is good.

Being overseas is fun. I am currently in Japan. I've been going back-and-forth from Japan to Hong Kong, China and Bangkok. I went to Dinball's headquarters last week. Interestingly enough, there was no big shop or much detail. In fact, there was only an office building with cubicles and a lobby with a terminal/keyboard. I logged into the lobby terminal, selected the items I wanted and a guy ran up with a handfull of boxes 10 minutes later! At least I saved time and money on shipping. United wouldn't sell to local customers. In China, you can't even access the normal R/C store websites unless you have an exporter's license and password. Go figure..

No videos yet. I still have lots of work to get done before I am ready for that. The Schulze 18/97 has not come in yet. In Korea you can get anything you want, and if it is not on the market they will make it for you. Knock offs are their biggest seller. I will be happy to help people out with things if I can get my hands on what they need. We will be there by mid August to get the kids into school.

Lutach,

Send me a PM with your email address. I will be going back to China until the end of the Olympics. Plenty of time to explore there. Plus I can send you pics of what I have already..
