The E revo with the MMM is way to cool looking!
I might have to buy the chassis and all that and make me a e revo traxxas style! I like how the motor is nice and low, batt mounting is OK, but pretty cool! |

Said the end of May. QUOTE] You know, I read this, and went away gloomy, for some reason, thinking it was going to be months and months away....must be the snow we just had making me think it was November again!!! |
does it come with GTR shocks looks awesome, hopefully get on the list for one
It does come with GTR shocks. The battery the E-Revo tray will fit are a 2s 8000mah pack or 3s 5000mah pack. However, they didn't know the dimensions or what company battery packs this is for... The diffs are also interchangeable with the Revo, e-maxx, and t-maxx, but the rep said that they are stronger because they have a pin that is much thicker, or wasn't there before, or something. Anyways, here are a couple pictures of the E-Revo from the show I took:

Very nice. I hope that chassis is stong. I wish they would have kept the metal one.
Damn, I'm away for a couple weeks and look what changes. LOL @ the new EMaxx owners tho. Revo>>Maxx
Does it have a center diff (or center diff option)?
It does not come with a center diff stock. However, I am not sure if the one from the Revo trans would fit...
I really hope this doesn't turn into something like the mmm where we wait for it forever! I want one yesterday! Seriously my gorilla is on ebay, e-maxx and 3.3 revo will be going as well. I need to scale back my fleet and get more lipos for this beast, along with a MMM of course
I heard rumour from the traxxas forum that the Erevo will have a centerdiff option, since this is going to be raced by the pro traxxas drivers- someone by the name of 'Bmoney' I think pointed me to another forum where one of the traxxas drivers mentioned it.
The real question is....will A123's fit in there? Looks like they won't without some serious structural modification.

How long does it typically take Traxxas to go from the "teaser" pages that are up there now to real pages with all the info (manuals, full specs, options, etc.)?
A couple of weeks at most from what I saw in the past. I would think that by the end of next week they'll have up a dedicated E-Revo page like they do for all of their other vehicles.
http://www.revo-world.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3266 Here is the forum thread on the E-revo. Team traxxas driver, Tim Roberts, is a moderator there and in this thread there is mention by Tim that the center diff will be an option
Him mentioning that there will be a center diff kit available, without mention of it on the Traxxas site itself, I'll believe it when I see it. We all know how many things are rumored to be available or in production that never make it to the public. Until a real part number is defined for it, I'll remain skeptical. Even with that in mind, I'd really like to see how they intend on making a fluid tunable diff fit inside that tranny, unless the intention is to replace the tranny completely.

Prices have been listed! On HobbyPeople.net with shipping $413! Ordered my Revo 3.3 from these guys so I know they are for real. I'm going to see what my lhs can do for me and if they can't beat it or at least match it I'll be ordering one from these guys.

Tower's got it up now for 450

Tower's prices are funky when they're first listed too, so that'll probably drop (hopefully?) by a couple of bucks (30? 40? more?).
Guess it is official:
http://www.buytraxxas.com/product_in...oducts_id=3013 5614: Differential kit, center (complete for E-Revo & E-Maxx (model 3905)) (assembled with 100K oil) (use only with single speed transmission) $39.00 |
That's good news!
Any updates on when this is going to be released? I was really expecting more on Traxxas's website by now. I have pre-ordered and anxiouslly awaiting this truck!

Will we want to put 500k oil in the center diff.
Yeah, IMHO the lack of a real web page for it (besides the teaser pages) can only mean delays. I'm not holding my breath, I'd say one month from now (Mid June-ish) they will be shipping.
Regarding the 500K Center Diff - according to Tim Roberts on Revo-World, the E-Revo Center diff option part will come with 500K not 100K. |
I agree with MacII. I'd believe that Mid June will probably be a realistic ship date for it.
I don't want to sound rude here cause I respect the people in this forum but.... Have you guys checked your calendars? Its mid-may now and quickly approaching the end of May! Still no E-REVO or Slash! I hope this doesnt get dragged out like the MMM

Someone on the Traxxas forums already has one, and has posted a vid of it running on Youtube. The thread's in the E-Revo section if you're interested.

A confirmation on that thread of the battery compartment size:
sure... 7 1/8 long, 1 1/8 tall, about 1 3/4 deep. It has these movable battery stays so you can have a snug fit for you batterys, nice little feature. 180.9mm x 28.5mm x 44.5mm Was hoping for a little more height for batteries - looking to go for a Tekno 1515/3D (1360kv) on 8S and (sticking with TP cells for now) leaves me with 2 options: 8S (2x) TP3300-4SXV 14.8V 4-Cell 351g 25x44x148 $154.99 or 6S (2x) TP5000-3SXV 11.1V 3-Cell 388g 25x48x160 $179.99 There's only a 10% difference in W/hr capacity between the two and both would leave a little room on top for cooling air to flow over the packs. |
I've heard from a very reliable source that it's only 160mm at full height/width. The bays kind of taper...hope to have mine soon so I can see with my own eyes and calipers.

Just checked Tower mine shipped today:yipi::yipi: Just in time for father's day!
I just checked it out in the hobby shop today and the battery bays are rather small. I could tell for sure my flightpower 3s 5350 mah packs would not fit because they are too thick. Like said above the trays taper down from the outer edge toward the center of the truck as well. I think traxxas made a mistake on this one. After seeing the body up close I really did not care for it either. Everything else was nice though!
