I like it alot and the price was right. I looked at a couple of craftsman models before i made the purchase and was not very impressed with them, overpriced if you ask me for what you get. So far it's been a very sturdy compressor. :great:

Well the Red, White, and Blue are a big plus and something we should all have in our shops:wink:

I am originally from Freeport-Illinois! I can definitely understand the weather situation there...this year was a rough winter from what I understand.

currently looks like a hurrican just went through, but I just finished the room, and trying to unbox and sort a couple years of storage and accumulation. For the past couple years I have just been dragging a little out at a time, now hopefully I can make some progress and leave things out.

junkman - I counted 40 rc's... did i miss any? And man you have got a lot vintage stuff and classic rc's.

Jefierro - I really like that yellow tool box. Do you have a link to it on the internet? Or what store did you buy it at?

jefierro 07.02.2008 12:37 AM

at walmart here in mexico, here it is in amazon.

DRIFT_BUGGY 07.02.2008 05:56 AM

OMG, how many RC's are in that room? How many still get used?

junkman 07.02.2008 07:28 AM

I have around 70, there is still quit a few I haven't got unpacked, and probably half are still kits in the boxes in the corner, some of the boxes are empty. I really havn't got to mess with them to much for the past 2 years, we moved to a new house and I didn't have a place to work on them. I just got the room finished up last week, so still trying to sort things out. Most are runable, but havn't been ran since I moved. I have just been playing with vxl pede, e-maxx, and most recently the slash. These cars go back to my first one, a futaba fx-10, a bit over 20 years old now.

magman 07.02.2008 08:07 AM

Junkman, you'll give Lincpimp a run for his money in terms of the number of cars:yes:

Nice space! good use of that old entertainment center...I will remember that one!

jayjay283 07.14.2008 09:15 PM

haha yeah took the old junky entertainment center for RC use, I was going to make a ramp out of it but it found another use. Only problem with a clean garage/workspace is now my wife knows how many RCs I have. I had 'em spreaad all over the place so you couldnt get a real count lol

Catching Up

Hey there everyone. I was very interested when this thread opened up a couple of months ago, but at the time we lived in a 4 bedroom apartment, and we were about to move from Brussels, Belgium to Seoul, Korea. So I watched the thread closely and learned a few things looking at some of your hobby rooms. I love what some of you have been able to do with such small spaces.

We have been in our new house for two months now, but only just received our household shipment two weeks ago. It has taken me this long just to get the house in some kind of order. Plus I was waiting on some help from our maintenance staff team for some used material support. I received some old cabinets that were being torn out of a medical clinic, and a truckload of plywood from some shipping containers and man have I been busy for the last week or so. I am nearly finished with my project and should be able to post up some photos in the next week or so. It isn't much of a space, but I am loving the way it is turning out considering what I have to work with. The space is supposed to be the resident maids quaters. The worst part is that it is only for 3 or 4 years, and then we will be reassigned to another post somewhere else in the world. Oh well I will just have to get full use of it and enjoy it while I can. What is the easiest way to get photos transfered and posted up on RCM? I have never had to post up a photo on here yet. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. The kids are really getting excited now. Me too.

Mike.L 10.16.2008 09:38 PM

some of you will be out of luck if you loose a grub screw.

well if I start adding up all the happy meals and king nuggets and Capri sun fruit drinks i'm in trouble

JERRY2KONE 10.20.2008 09:03 PM

Ya Just Got To Love It Though.

That is a great photo. I am sure that you will have fun looking at that one and sharing it later in their lives. Your shop looks pretty cool. It looks like it started out as teh motorcycle shop, but the addiction took over. Great use of the space. Your lucky to have such a great area to work on your toys. Most guys get puched out into the garage and later even that gets taken over by storage. No boys huh? Oh well you can always get the girls hooked on R/C as well. I hope to build a track in our backyard some day for family R/C race days on the holidays. By then the kids can bring the grand kids and we can all have a great time. Nice work on the shop.

very observant.....yes originally the garage was set up for my Big dog chopper and my sons YZ-1000 and then yes the damm addiction spread like wild fire.....every time i sell a truck it seems like two trucks come back..lol

anyway these are my grand kids and there now quite into it...the 2yr old just chases them with the pit bull and the 5 yr old is still trying to coordinate the steering

Yeah, well, in some of those piles is a box of grub screws....:lol:

Well, here is a couple pics of the workbench area in my garage. It serves as a do all center - could pretty much fix anything in there. Wood shop, metal working, RC's, diesel trucks....and in the front half exists partly houshold storage, lawn and garden equipment, wood working equipment, and assorted unfinished house projects.

Yeah, everytime I take my laptop into the garage, I really have to laugh at myself. Who would have ever thought that I'd have a friggin PC in my garage.....I started in PC's by writing PONG script on an old Apple II in about 1980.
